Reporting from the comfort of Retro Game Friends on Akihabara, Vinnk and Sean reveal how impossible it is to get much done when it’s not just press roaming the nine (!) halls of the Tokyo Game Show, and how they managed to do all kinds of things anyway. Including ALMOST getting some video of Shinya Arino from Game Center CX (a.k.a. Retro Game Master), and a picture of two of his “dai-fans”.

Hey did you know there’s a Blade anime? Well there is, and Marvel has announced that the voice of Blade for the dub will be none other than Harold Perrineau, Michael from Lost. Will Harold be able to live up to the legacy left by Wesley Snipes, Sticky Fingaz and a bunch of people you’ve never heard of who voiced him in video games? With a great movie and TV show predating it, this anime has some tall shoes to fill.

The Blade anime has already started airing in Japan and will be playing on G4TV in January 2012 along with many other Marvel anime shows. We previously gave our thoughts on a number of these shows on the Powetcast back in May.

This past weekend played host to the very first Power Con, a convention dedicated He-man and the Masters of the Universe. It was actually a double convention. Thunder Con, the second part of this double-billing, is a convention dedicated to Thundercats. There wasn’t much in the way of Thundercats presence there, but Mattel certainly showed up to represent MOTU and even held a panel. While the 3DS was cleaning up at Tokyo Game Show, Sony announced that the PS Vita would be region-free — unlike its Nintendo competitor. The war is heating up! Who will win the holiday season this year? Will it be enough to turn things around for Sony? Sean and Vinnk reflect on the final two public days of Tokyo Game Show, if mobile devices and “the cloud” are really the future of the gaming industry and the current oneupsmanship between Nintendo and Sony is really all for naught.
