Scott Pilgrim VS The World International Trailer

scottpilgrim3Why do movie studios release international trailers? Are the ones for North America not good enough? Are we not good enough for these?

Either way, thanks to Inter-Net, we can watch the videos anyway.

And hey, as a bonus, here is the trailer of the Scott Pilgrim video game: [Read the rest of this entry…]

Top 10 Best Trailers Of E3

e3.jpgIts the last day of E3, and all the publishers, studios, businessmen, designers, and artists have played their best hand of the year. There is no comparison in any other industry. Imagine if Hollywood showed a trailer for every movie of the next year on the same weekend. Thats crazy! And yet its E3.

In that spirit, those of us who follow at home don’t get hands on impressions, we just get 2 minute snippets of the games we’ll be playing from now until next E3. Who had the best?

E3 Konami – New Silent Hill, Never Dead, and…Castlevania?

e3.jpgSo if you’ve been paying any kind of attention to our E3 topic in the forums, you know there’s a lot of shyte flying around at this year’s E3. Today was Konami’s press conference, of which I was particularly interested in due to the BLOW OUT that was last year’s huge Konami reveal. (Castlevania: Lords of Shadow, if you were taking up residence under a rock)

Reminder: MattyCollector Day for June – She-Ra, Keldor, Faker, JLU Lobo and more

Here it is. Your monthly MattyCollector Day reminder.

Start taking deep breaths because this month is another perfect storm of releases featuring the much anticipated Masters of the Universe Classics edition of She-Ra, followed by the MOTUC Bonus figure, Keldor and the reissue of the limited release Faker. Not only that, but MattyCollector is experimenting with their JLU offerings. Having considered the 3-packs a failure on the site, they are now offering a larger carded single figure in the form of Lobo. He will be a test to see how single oversized figures fare on sale day with a ridiculous price of $20. Have fun with that JLU collectors. Ghostbusters collectors will have the opportunity to purchase the slimed Peter Venkman figure with Slimer.

And what is sure to be a big hit for the site is the re-release offering of DC Universe Classics wave 5 as a set. This was the extremely difficult to find Wal-Mart exclusive Metallo wave.

Marvel VS Capcom 3: Dante & Deadpool

deadpooldanteOf course we’re still really excited for the next installment in the Capcom Vs series. The newest characters, Dante from Devil May Cry and Deadpool from Marvel, are no great surprise as they were hinted at from the beginning. This new teaser picks up where the last left off, and hints at even more characters to be revealed soon.

Capcom promised a roster of at least 30 characters, so we might be looking at a lot of trailers over the next few months, if they only do 2 at a time…

Lost Classics: Mortal Kombat – Deadly Alliance (Xbox, PS2, Gamecube)

MKDAcoverBy 2002, the Mortal Kombat series had become a running gag of the fighting game world. The last gamers had seen of the series was an awful port of Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 and the horrific action game Mortal Kombat Special Forces. Now granted, the fighting game scene was in a slump, but even then there were still quality titles such as Capcom vs SNK 2, King of Fighters, and Dead of Alive 3. Midway knew that they if Mortal Kombat was once again going to be relevant, they would have to go back to the drawing board, and they did just that with Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance.
