TF_CW_Scrapper

The biggest news out of Toy Fair for many was the official unveiling of Combiner Wars Devastator from Hasbro’s Transformers brand. 6 Voyager sized Constructicons will combine to form one giant sized Devastator. Each of the six figures rivals the original combined Devastator’s 9 inches of height, while the new combined form stands around 18 inches tall.

Toy Fair 2015: MOTU Classics

MOTUC_AFP_Peek-a-blue_Banner

Toy Fair 2015 brings us the first year of Masters of the Universe Classics (MOTUC) without Scott ‘ToyGuru’ Neitlich at the helm. Little if any ado was made about the 2015 Club Eternia subscription being in its last year. Surprising considering the fanfare that Mattel put out during sign ups. Nothing out of the blue was announced aside from a new 200x (6 month) subscription. Probably the biggest news was the bonus item for the newly announced sub.

Famicom Dojo Podcast: The Osborne Effect (Live at DaishoCon 2014)

Famicom Dojo Podcas 112: The Osborne Effect

There are problems with announcing new hardware that’s not available everywhere, such as the New 3DS coming out in Japan but not the US, including features that the regular 3DS does not have, yet Nintendo claims that because the North American market hasn’t peaked yet with the old hardware that it will hold off releasing it. Instead, we’re getting a line of special 3DS designs (never minding that a feature of the New 3DS is removable faceplates). Vinnk and Sean (well, mostly just Sean) head off to the Kalahari Resort in Wisconsin Dells for this first-ever live recording of the Famicom Dojo podcast, wondering why anyone would even get a 3DS for the holidays when a new one will probably be out in 2015. This is only the sort of thing you can get away with because of region locking. Vinnk explains his person Osborne Effect with Smash Bros. for 3DS, and Sean gushes about P.T., which he played on his new PS4. Plus, questions from our live audience!
