Check out the trailer to get a look at what the movie will be like.
The movie centers around a girl named Ai who moves to a town populated by animals. Similar to the story of the popular Nintendo Gamecube and Nintendo DS games of the same name she will befriend the townspeople and get a part time job helping out to make ends meet. Game favourites Tom Nook, Kap’n and Tortimer will be featured along side a sample of the animals from the game. We’ll see Sally, an elephant, Bouquet, a cat, Alberto, an aligator and Saruo, a Monkey.
Set to be released on December 16th 2006 in Japan it’s far too early to tell if this will get a North American release.
Toys R Us stores in Canada have a sale this week, from Saturday July 8th to Friday July 14th, on Gameboy Advance games. Buy 1 game and get another of equal or lesser value for free. The sale does not apply to stores in the United States. This is a great oppurtunity for you to get those games you’ve wanted but have put off buying.
Naturally the selection is not the best but with this kind of deal it’s worth checking out.
Update: While we all thought the magazines would be a fun read, who knew they would yeild this kind of pertinent info–
Kotaku: Sony Pulls Rumble… from the Playstation! Apparently, Sony announced they were going to not included rumble in their original Playstation Dual Analog pad because of a patent dispute with Immersion Technologies. Sony went ahead with the DualShock anyway, the rest is history.
Joystiq: CliffyB, the retro gaming god. A sharp reader spotted the name Cliff Blezinski as the having the top score in Super Mario Bros on NES, and one email later confirmed that it is in fact Cliff Bleszinski aka “Cliffy B” now of Epic Games and lead for Microsoft’s winter tentpole, Gears Of War!

After a weekend of the blogosphere bouncing around a November 6 launch date as fact based on a remark in Sports Illustrated for Kids of all places, theres a little bit more legitmate info to be had. CNN Money‘s game guru Chris Morris report the Wii could be here earlier than that. In fact much earlier. The Wii has been in production since June 21st apparently, meaning a launch date could be feasible as early as September! It remains to be seen if Nintendo will hold back the date to launch at a time when there is a better supply, but after shortages rocked the Xbox 360 and the DS in the past few months, It would be nice to know you could walk in a store and get one on launch day without having to trample someone’s grandma.
As the Nintendo fanboy in all of us is no doubt thinking: there is a working complete console fresh out of the factory right now. Obviously games aren’t done, and launch titles like Red Steel, Metroid Prime 3, or Twilight Princess won’t have to go gold until literally a few weeks before systems hit stores. But, new hardware is new hardware, and I’d be happy to have it just to play GameCube titles on it right now. Right. Now.

Kotaku send word that Nintendo of America will be presenting US President George W Bush a Nintendo DS Lite and a copy of Brain Age for his 60th Birthday this saturday.
I’ll now open the floor on the comments section for jokes about why Nintendo thinks Brain Training is a good idea for Dubya.
