Hasbro has sent along some official photos of a couple Spider-Man variants that have been pretty highly anticipated. Miles Morales, the Spider-Man from Marvel’s Ultimate Comics, appears here in 6 inch form and a 3 3/4 inch Marvel Universe form.
Toy Fair kicked off over the weekend a day early with a media event put on by Hasbro. This gave the company a chance to present their plans for the next year or so for all of their product lines. There was so much information in the presentation that we have broken it down into smaller chunks. Here is an update on the state of the Marvel Legends line and its glorious return to retail.
ToyArk.com is apparently wandering the hall at SDCC a little early and managed to snag a picture of the first wave of Marvel Legends after their multi-year hiatus.
It is with great pleasure I can tell you the wave consists of:
Klaw
Constrictor
Steve Rogers
Thor
Extremis Armor Thor
Hope Summers
Ghost Rider (I have no idea what version this is. New to me. Movie?)
and the previously announced Build-A-Figure; Terrax.
So we have 2 villains, a movie figure, an X-Man and the Avengers core team to round out the first wave. Seems pretty well balanced to me.
The weekend has kicked off in stupendous fashion with a news explosion from the Hasbro event held at New York Toy Fair 2011. If you were there, you knew you were in the right place because Optimus Prime was parked outside, trailer and all. (See above)
I’ve been watching things from a far on my twitter feeds and blogs, so I’m going to do my best to recap all the relevant news and information coming out of the event. Read on after the jump to see all the details!
The year is wrapping up and I figured that this would be the perfect time to take a look back at some of the year’s highlights.
Think I missed an announcement or important piece of news? Discuss it in the comments! I love to hear what you all have to say.
There are a couple of images that don’t appear to have been encoded properly by YouTube during the Highs/Lows segment. The original video was fine and I could not upload it again to YouTube because they said it was a dupe. Imagine the Battle Beast Minimate with a caption of “I want to buy you!”
Hasbro and Marvel held their panel for their various action figure lines and there were some surprises including a promise to return to Marvel Legends in a big way in 2012. I take back what I said in this post, but I hope we are back to full waves of single figures and not these 2-packs. Its certainly a way off, but any news is good news at this point.
In the meantime, lets look at some of the big reveals for everything else they had to talk about after the jump!

More images will be added as things are put in display cases and pictures of those start coming in. [Read the rest of this entry...]
