I don’t recall Roadblock ever leading the Joes except for a maybe a couple of missions, but with Dwayne Johnson in the roll, Marvin Hinton is running the show.
As we learned from the previous trailer, Zartan disguised as the US President has ordered the entire GIJOE team executed, with only Roadblock, Flint, and Lady Jaye surviving. All three are new characters to the movie series, and although we see Channing Tatum reprise his roll as Duke, we’re left to assume he’s dead.
You’ll spot a little more of Cobra Commander, some HISS Tanks rolling up to the US Capitol, and of course a bit more of Bruce Willis as Joe Colton. If the first Joe movie lacked star power, the sequel isn’t wanting for it.
Thanks to the GI Joe club, some better photos of the SDCC 2012 GIJoe/Transformers exclusive Shockwave HISS tank have surfaces revealing many of the accessories that will be coming alongside the custom vehicle. Good luck getting your hands on one of these, collectors. It is not going to be easy.
It appears the set will include the following:
HISS tank with custom Shockwave cannon turret
Destro
Constructicon colored BAT
Suitcase of cash
2 guns for Destro
2 contructicon colored weapons for the BAT
3 Energon cubes and cart to move them
A small scale Soundwave cassette player
3 cassettes to put in Soundwave
Its here! Toy Fair 2012 kicked off yesterday in traditional fashion a day early with a Hasbro media event done the day before the show begins. In it, they show off a great deal of what their fans have to look forward to over the next year or so. There was so much information from the panel that I needed to break it down into sections. This post represents all of the GI Joe information I could scrounge together reading the coverage from other sites. I like to think I filled in a lot of gaps by using so many resources, but i will allow you to be the judge. Read on after the jump for more!

Yeah, this starts with Dwayne Johnson quoting Jay-Z, but we also see Cobra Commander again. The first G.I. Joe: Retaliation Trailer only saw a blink of him, leading more than a few fans to cry that it was just a random Viper.
But upon closer focus in this ad, there can be no debate. This is Cobra Commander.
Really digging that mask. I see elements of the old Commander silver mask, Serpentor, the standard Viper infantry, and the IDW comics Cobra Commander.
Retaliation will release on June 29, 2012 in the US.
This isn’t an actual game per se (although if you’re reading this Capcom, don’t let me stop you from making it), but rather it sums up one of the first North American attempts to make action figures based on Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat. These figures made use of Gi-Joe molds. In fact, the original series of Street Fighter action figures were advertised as being part of Gi-Joe, with M. Bison and his Shadowloo grandmasters being part of Cobra. [Read the rest of this entry...]
Welcome, Poweteers, to a brand new original column where we explore the top (and bottom) 5 items we think are relevant to any of a variety of topics that span the imagination. Sit back, read, and respond!
My original intention for this inaugural article was to think up 5 of what I consider to be the top action figure playsets. The more I thought about the topic, though, the more GI Joe playsets came to mind. So many in fact, that I decided to dedicate the entirety of the list to those playsets.
Also, as a small disclaimer, all images from this post originate from YoJoe.com. Its probably the best archival GI Joe toy site on the net. I’ve placed links to each listed item’s entry below. Check them out for more info and pictures! [Read the rest of this entry...]
