I know what you’re thinking: “Hey, the Wii has been out 5 months, where all the Gundam games?!?”
Well step down off your mobile horse and take a look at this.
I can’t read a lick of Japanese so someone will have to tell me if the Kanji for “minigames” appears on this page. Otherwise, looks like motion controlled shooting in the Universal Century as the RX-78-2. Now I gotta get me one of these. Char’s Wiimote!

Over the weekend the Square/Disney faithful wept openly as this pre-rendered battle sequence found its way to the internet. It takes a while to really get to a point where you can even tell its even supposed to be Kingdom Hearts, but it is. This video was hidden at the end of the recently released Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix on PS2 in Japan.
Or maybe not. Eurogamer reports Tetsuya Nomura, the director of the Kingdom Hearts II, says the next title will be a completely new series. Why change it up? Maybe its not an RPG? Maybe it deviates too far from the conventions of KH? Who knows.
Also up in the air is where this series will be released. The pre-rendered video is no clear indication of hardware. It could easily continue on the PS2, jump to PS3, or even go cross platform to Wii or Xbox 360. The only certainty is that when it comes out it will sell a bajillion copies like the last one.
Powet’s own TheOrange grabbed the newly released Masterpiece Megatron figure yesterday. This was the last Megatron in stock.
I have to say he’s big. The robot mode is appropriately big enough to stand shoulder to shoulder with the similar Masterpiece Convoy (released in the US as 20th Anniversary Optimus Prime). That gun mode though… the original Megatron was a little too small to be a real gun and this one quite a bit too big. Whatever you do though, don’t transform him in a moving car because giant hand guns frighten other motorists and attract law enforcement.
Japanator gives word that a Dragon Ball MMO is on the way for Korea and Japan next year. The game will be set some 200 years after the original manga, so don’t worry about teaming up with Goku or Vegeta as they’re all dead. Akira Toriyama will be contributing to character designs of course, and even play created avatars will retain the Toriyama look. Player classes include humans, Nameks and Saiyans, though you’ll start out as a little kid and have to grow up over the course of the game.
Given how popular MMOs and Dragon Ball are in the US, its a forgone conclusion that they’d make it come here too.
*insert joke about spending hours to charge a single attack*
A new box set was recently released for this movie which is based on the ever popular Final Fantasy VII PlayStation video game and it even includes the rare Final Fantasy VII Advent Rising anime special. Is it worth getting? Check out what Cloud has to say in this review to find out if this set’s right for you.
Not letting the fact that the show’s been off the air for over 10 years stop it Sailor Moon seems to have a game planned for release on the Wii. Asian import store YesAsia has this product description up for a Sailor Moon game published by Namco set to be released in December 2007. While this isn’t a certain confirmation that a game will be released YesAsia is a reputable online store I’ve dealt with a number of times so this should be taken more seriously than your run of the mill bogus Totaka rumour.
Who knows what kind of game play such a title could have in store or how it will use the Wii’s functionality but rest assured Powet.tv will be the place to get news on this title as it becomes available.
If this game had been released over here, it would have been known as Secret of Mana 2. However translation problems, as well as the decreasing support for the Super Nintendo, kept this game from being released over here. However, I have it on good authority that an English translation may be floating around on the net. Because I don’t want the game companies coming down on us, that’s all I’ll say.
