However EA’s twitter account for Mass Effect has revealed this short video with a link to a page where players can sign up for updates. Also it looks like something is coming November 7, which is next Monday.

Deep Silver….er….THQ Nordic Acquires Novalogic’s Back Catalog.

novalogic

Before Call of Duty, Rainbow Six, Battlefield, and your other favorite military shooter, there was Delta Force. Few games before it and few games since have had the depth of gameplay and realism that Delta Force had. Yesterday, the company formerly known as Deep Silver has acquired the Novalogic catalog. This means that Deep Silver, now known as THQ Nordic, has the rights to not only the Delta Force series, but Commanche, Armored Fist, Joint Operations, and even the 2000 space-flight simulator, Tachyon: The Fringe. The last release from the company was 2009’s Delta Force Xtreme 2 (Pictured). Deep Silver has been making some big moves after acquiring most of THQ’s properties in 2013 including Saint’s Row, Darksiders, and Red Faction. They renamed themselves THQ Nordic this past august. With the acquisition of Novalogic, hopefully this means we’ll see some new Delta Force games.

$20 Game of the Week: Shadows of the Damned (Xbox 360, PS3)

shadow_damnedps31

With yesterday being Halloween, it’s only fitting that we have horror inspired $20GOTW. Produced by Goichi Suda (Killer 7, No More Heroes) and Shinji Mikami (Resident Evil, Devil May Cry), scored by Akira Yamaoka (Silent Hill), and released by EA, Shadows of the Damned is a horror action-shooter that’s barely more than the sum of its parts, however, it’s still a decent game. Playing as demon hunter Garcia Hotspur, you return home to find your girlfriend Paula being kidnapped by a demon named Fleming. Along with your sidekick/weapon Johnson, you travel into hell which resembles a city slum. Players must battle their way through the game’s levels, and can upgrade Johnson to use his weapon abilities. There isn’t much to the game besides some interesting visuals. The gameplay is still solid, and it’s a fun waste of time. While SOTD may not be as psychological as Silent Hill or as esoteric as Killer 7, it’s still an excellent game from two of gaming’s most unique visionaries.

Power Rangers Mega Battle

Fans of the old school Mighty Morphin Power Rangers series will want to take a look at this. Developed by Bamtang and published by Namco Bandai, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Mega Battle is a multiplayer action brawler for up to 4 players. The game will feature cutscenes, monsters, and dialogue based on the original series, and will also feature unlockable characters. The game will be coming to Xbox One and PS4 next year. If the gameplay can keep in line with the graphics, MMPR:MB will be an excellent flashback to our childhood.

$20 Game of the Week: Soul Sacrifice Delta (Playstation Vita)

Soul-Sacrifice-Delta

What would you be willing to give up if you could gain ultimate power? Who would you be willing to give up if you could gain ultimate power? Those are the questions players are asked in Soul Sacrifice Delta, the PS Vita exclusive action RPG. Developed by Keji Inafune’s Comcept (Recore, Mighty Number 9), Soul Sacrifice Delta is the ultimate upgrade of the original SOul Sacrifice, adding on hours of new content including new bosses, areas, and characters. It even includes more storyline details that flesh out things that were hinted at in the original Soul Sacrifice. Regardless of whether or not you own the original game, you’ll definently want to add this title to your collection if you own a Vita.
