Hasbro and Marvel held their panel for their various action figure lines and there were some surprises including a promise to return to Marvel Legends in a big way in 2012. I take back what I said in this post, but I hope we are back to full waves of single figures and not these 2-packs. Its certainly a way off, but any news is good news at this point.
In the meantime, lets look at some of the big reveals for everything else they had to talk about after the jump!

Hasbro had lots of new Super Hero Squad assortments on display. I couldn’t really tell you whats new and what isn’t, but some of the multi-packs fascinated me. The one above includes Iron Man, Hulk, Thor, Loki, Enchantress, and a Frost Giant! Notables single figures (from the 2-pack assortments) include MODOK, Taskmaster, Spiral, Bucky Cap, Ronan the Accuser and Thanos.
A full gallery of Marvel’s display from Preview Night can be found here at TNI where I mirrored some of the images from.

26 year old actor Andrew Garfield has been cast as the “new” “young” “teenage” Spider-Man in Sony’s next film based on the hero. Marc Webb will direct from a script by James Vanderbilt.
Who cares? I mean honestly Tobey Maguire might be pushing 40 and the last flick the old guard did wasn’t great, but theres almost nothing about a new Spider-Man that could be remotely interesting now. Chalk that up to a decade of super fatigue, from when Spider-Man stood alone as one of the best to only a number in a field of more entertaining hero films.
What say you, true believers? Does this new Spidey have a shot or is this just another white kid in tights?
Marvel.com has posted the very first screenshots from gameplay of the forthcoming and highly anticipated Marvel vs Capcom 3. The screenshots even have some added commentary mostly explaining that they wanted this to feel like a moving comic book and many of the effects are a result of that. Check out the link for all the original commentary or look at the screenshots after the jump and let us know you think!
Since Iron Man returns to theaters this week, this week’s $20 GOTW will take a look back at one of old shellhead’s finest moments. A mysterious orb threatens all life on both the Marvel and Capcom universes, so Ruby Heart unites heroes from the two universes in order to help save it. However, fights keep breaking out, and now that teams are made up of three, things are more chaotic than ever. Marvel Vs Capcom 2 would be the last game Capcom did utilizing the Marvel license, and they decided to go out with a bang. MVC 2 features Iron Man, his buddy War Machine, and several of his fellow Avengers as part of the 50+ fighters on hand. [Read the rest of this entry…]

GameSpot has the first look at Activision’s newest Spider-Man game, which has the wall crawler going all Jerry O’Connell on us and traveling to alternate dimensions.
The above trailer shows us the “noir” dimension, which looks to me more like Batman with Spider-Man’s powers. Since we now have regular Spider-Man, and dark Spider-Man, it will be interesting to see what the next 2 dimensions end up being. Thoughts or theories? Leave a comment. I’m putting a dollar on Marvel Zombies and Anime Spider-Man myself.
