Rehearsal and preparedness are important, which is exactly why the first chunk of this show has Zac and Adam riffing on reddit, Reality TV, and iPhone 5 before Captain Genius finally reigns them in.
We’ll talk about how “Airplane!” is supposedly the funniest movie ever made, the absolute craziness that is Cloud Atlas, and the potential for sequels to Thor and Star Trek in 2013. Zac also reviews the geek potential for his coworkers.
We went a bit over an hour this time. In fact, 25 minutes over an hour. I could have easily trimmed the show down to an hour by removing an element of the show, but then you’d miss some golden podcasting.
In this episode, we might have seen The Dark Knight Rises. We definitely talk about ponies, Pacific Rim and Godzilla bringing monsters back, Thomas Jane’s return as Frank Castle, and a discussion about mashed potatoes that has to be heard. What started as an SDCC discussion definitely didn’t end up that way.
Proper The Dark Knight Rises discussion NEXT WEEK on July 26.

Here’s Caren asking some hard hitting questions we’re all burning to know the answers to at this year’s Botcon as she investigates Starscream themed Body Pillows and My Little Pony merchandise.
The voice cast for the upcoming zombie cheerleader game “Lollipop Chainsaw” has been announced. The main character of Juliet Starling will be played by none other than Tara Strong, the voice of Twilight Sparkle on My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. Juliet’s boyfriend, severed head Nick, is played by Michael Rosenbaum, Lex Luthor from Smallville and the Flash from Justice League.
Also appearing are Gregg Henry as Juliet’s father, Sean Gunn as Swan, Mindless Self Indulgence‘s Jimmy Urine as Zed, Shawnee Smith, Linda Cardelleni and Michael Rooker.

Fans of all things good and pony filled were disappointed to learn that the hit show My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic received ZERO Daytime Emmy nominations this year. Another show on Hasbro’s network “The Hub”, Transformers Prime, received a total of 6 underserved nominations.
It’s becoming more and more clear now that even amongst Transformers fans, who one would imagine would be predisposed to like a Transformers show, My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic is a much more beloved and popular show.
Why would such an objectively superior show get ignored in favour of a fairly uncompelling run of the mill Transformers series? One that no fan would mention if asked to count their favourite Transformers shows on one hand? A show that replaced a fan favourite superior version and completely failed to live up to the precedent? Well it’s an awards show. If these idiots ever got it right, that would be the real surprise.
So ignore the Emmys, because they suck, and this is just another fine example. A well deserved Emmy win is as unexpected as a show accurate Applejack hat.
Big news! The Powet.tv staff have decided to start a news blog based on a fandom which is dear the hearts of all our readers! Coming soon is the Ponyville Gazette, the definitive My Little Pony news source for all you die hard My Little Pony fans!
