A very old very unreliable rumour of a new Sailor Moon show is making the rounds on the Internet. After reading about it on my favourite Sailor Moon message board I tracked the source down to a Live Journal post which referenced manysources, all unreliable, some of which date back to May 1st 2011. The show would be an hour long and play on TBS starting October 23rd 2011.
I have no expectation that there is any validity to these rumours. I only post this here as the rumour itself may be of general interest if the news gets around the Internet. Since May there has been nothing resembling official confirmation from any of the involved parties. Almost every one of these actors is a Japanese pop singer, leading me to believe this is just a random wish list made up by some Japanese Pop music fan.
Here’s the full proposed cast of this new show:
Minegishi Minami from AKB48 as Sailor Moon
Serina from SDB48 as Sailor Mercury
Kotera Mari from Tsubomi as Sailor Mars
Akimoto Sayaka from AKB48 as Sailor Jupiter
Michisige Ayumi from Morning Musume as Sailor Venus
Massuda Takahisa as Tuxedo Mask
This is just half the cast. Keep reading for the rest of the people you’ve never hear of who are supposed to be in this show which will never exist! [Read the rest of this entry…]
San Diego ComiCon is full of surprises. Con-favorite show LOST always had a huge panel with exclusive clips shown every year. The show ended last May, but for some reason, there is still another clip for this year.
Watch above as a moment from the first season plays out with Jacob and his brother, the Man In Black, looking on to discuss the castaways ultimate fate. Its directed by series regular Jack Bender with Mark Pellegrino and Titus Welliver reprising their roles.
This clip was presented at SDCC by Executive Producers Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse, who did hold a “One Year Later” panel. Hit fix has a full description of their comments and answers to fans.
Konami has certainly been bossing-up their Metal Gear Solid regiment at this year’s Comic-Con, what with game producer Hideo Kojima making an appearance, and this little tidbit certainly shows that with a release of the board game “Risk” all dressed up in a MSG attire.
“MGS” version of the board game “RISK” from Hasbro has been released. There were some products displayed at their booth, and logo bandana was provided.
The original Halo is a memorable game for a variety of reasons, but perhaps the best example of the game and the best introduction one could be given to the universe is the level “The Silent Cartographer.”
Master Chief John 117 and a crew of marines are dropped on to a beach with a wide variety of Covenant enemies at the ready. This level also features the music commonly thought of as the “Halo Theme”
The demo shows a talked about feature: Classic mode. Tapping the “back” button on your Xbox controller will swap the new graphics for the original 2001 graphics. Honestly, I think the game looks pretty good either way, and the classic mode really does more to show off what they could accomplish with new textures and a few layers added on to the old engine.
This demo is what was originally shown behind closed doors at E3 last month, but is being shown to everyone at San Diego ComiCon.
In a great cross promotion, Disney has released the picture above of Sam the Eagle as Captain America. Captain America: The First Avenger opens in theaters today 7/22/2011 and The Muppets opens in theaters on 11/23/2011.
G4 got to sit down with DC Co-Publisher and DC Universe Online creative director, Jim Lee. The brief interview covered some details on the process that went into making DCUO and went further to discuss the upcoming DLC that allows a player to become a Green Lantern reservist. Check it out!
ENI posted about this video. It features the final episode of the Mortal Kombat Legacy web series. It is not wholly clear if the series will continue past this point. The video begins with series Director Kevin Tancharoen making a few comments on the series. After his comments it cuts to the episode in full featuring Sektor and Cyrax, followed by some applause. Unfortunately, thats all. At the end of the panel, Mortal Kombat series creator, Ed Boon announced that the new DLC for the latest game in the franchise would be Freddy Krueger. You can see Freddy’s gameplay trailer after the break. He will be available to play on August 9th.
