Remember that Mortal Kombat Rebirth trailer from last year, featuring Jeri Ryan and Michael Jai White as Sonya and Jax, that made waves in the gaming community? The one that was simply a film reel and not a real teaser for a possible movie? Well, if you’ve been living under a rock in the gaming world, since then the creator of the reel (Kevin Tancharoen) gleaned enough credit with Warner Bros. for them to greenlight a web series based on his re-imagining of the Mortal Kombat series. Since the news broke in January, many new actor have signed onto roles as other characters from the series and bits and pieces of what the series will feature have been hinted at.
On April 12th, Machinima will host a live feed of director Kevin Tanchaoen and several others, including actors of the series, playing the new Mortal Kombat game, and will feature at the end the premier of the first episode of the new web series. The feed will go live from 12pm to 4pm PST with the first episode right at 4pm PST.
Mortal Kombat is an anthology of stories inspired by the early adventures of characters like Scorpion, Sub-Zero, Sonya, Jax, Cyrax, Sektor and many others. The series features noted talents including Jeri Ryan, Michael Jai White, Ian Anthony Dale and more. For more details, check out Mortal Kombat Online’s awesome coverage of the series from the start!

It was only a week ago that Edge Of Time was announced, now we have a look at the (early) game in motion.
They’re going to need to tighten the graphics on level 3, but at the very least Beenox has trimmed the game to the 2 most important Spider-man variations from Shattered Dimensions: Amazing and 2099. The time line jumping details haven’t been discolosed, but that last shot (see the image to the left) shows that at least one portion of the game will have Miguel O’Hara and Peter Parker meeting (morbidly).

Arnold Schwarzenegger’s first post-politics project, his big return to the world of entertainment is… a children’s TV series. It was revealed last week, but I was sure it was an April Fools prank.
Now here is the cover of Entertainment Weekly and a completely ridiculous trailer where the action star turned governor turns into a super hero. Watch him talk to Larry King and fight Transformers to The Black Eyed Peas.

Since the alphabet is the building block of our language, the Powet Alphabet is the building block of what makes us geeks.

In a universe full of Super Soldiers, gods, mutants, monsters, robots, and just about everything else you can imagine, there is one organization that we can rely upon to keep tabs on all the madness and keep everything, and everyone, in line. That’s the Strategic Hazard Intervention Espionage Division, more commonly known as S.H.I.E.L.D. And for the longest time, one man has been at the center of it all: Nicholas Fury. Nick has been many things during his lifetime: an amateur boxer, a WWII hero, a CIA agent, and a super spy. His most notable job was the head of S.H.I.E.L.D. While he may not shoot beams out of his eyes, have adamantium claws, wear a suit of armor, or have the proportionate strength of a spider, he is just as vital, if not more vital to the Marvel Universe, as any of its greatest meta-human champions.
