Full Trailer for ‘Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn’ Web Series

Much of the action in the footage focuses on a marine’s struggle in the academy, but when the shit hits the fan, he follows Master Chief into battle.

Series stars Tom Green as Thomas Lasky and Daniel Cudmore as Master Chief and is directed by Stewart Hendler

Here is the synposis from Halo Waypoint

Set against the backdrop of a UNSC military academy, a group of highborn cadets are training to be the next generation of soldiers in the UNSC’s ongoing war with insurrectionists in the outer colonial planets. Among these cadets, Thomas Lasky struggles with his doubts about this war, and with the burden of expectations he may not be able to carry. As Lasky comes to terms with his potential as a military leader, the terrifying alien alliance known as the Covenant arrives and turns his world upside down. Inspired by the Master Chief, he must decide what it means to be a hero.

You can also watch Behind The Scenes videos here and here. The series will launch October 5, 2012.

Powetcast 127: Kate Upton Jr

I almost feel bad spoiling a joke that comes in the second half of the podcast by producing this week’s photochop album cover. But dammit, I laughed and said I would do it and I’m a man of my word. This also allowed me to image search Kate Upton for research.

This week we discuss the return of Sailor Moon, what it means to read Marvel Now, the casting of a Wolverine sequel, a Beatle teaming up with Bungie, and Kate Upton.

It wasn’t until I wrote this description and had everything all done that I remember George Lopez in an eye patch from episode 55.

Powetcast 126: Twins In A Rocket

In this episode, Adam defies the law of Gravity Falls, Genius heads to Pokemon Nationals, Zac becomes a Workaholic, and Sean sees the new Emma Stone movie.

Oh and we also talk about sending twins and triplets into space for some reason I’m still not entirely clear about.

‘Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn’ Teaser Trailer

There is not a whole lot to chew on here, it really is a teaser for a web series leading up to the release of Halo 4.

Live action commercials and shorts were used to promote Halo 3, ODST, and Reach, so it is of no surprise to see another one. What is a shock is series protagonist Master Chief will appear. We may never get that big budget Halo movie, but the Sparan II armor shown in this video looks pretty good.

Expect the series to run online starting in October.

Powetcast 125: On A Shipcast

Should this site just be renamed Ship TV? It has a nice ring to it.
This week Adam and Zac are joined by Jim and Zero. We head to Mars with John Carter, click some cows on Facebook, talk to animals with Max Payne, and do a walk-and-talk on the Newsroom.

Yet Another Trailer For ‘The Dark Knight Rises’

I might have said the previous one was the “final trailer” but this is the real final trailer. I guess? Its weirdly uploaded to the youtube page for Finnish mobile phone company Nokia. Not a spoiler: no Nokia phones in this trailer.

It is almost entirely music, lots of action, lots of little snips not seen in previous trailers, and at least two line deliveries that set a dire tone.

Nothing about the promotional materials for the last Batman outing made things look this dire actually. I guess since they know this is the last one they want to make it as SERIOUS AS POSSIBLE. Michael Caine and Morgan Freeman thankfully lighten the mood whenever they’re on screen.

Notably absent from all trailers and marketing: Marion Cotillard.

Powetcast 123: Is Zangief A ‘Bad’ Guy?

Cap, Zac, and Adam talk Lollipop Chainsaw, Young Justice, and Wreck it Ralph and then let the conversation turn to the debate about if Zangief or any of the original 8 Street Fighter II characters are “bad” guys.
