Powet Presents: MAGfestX 2012 – Richter Belmont vs. BrentalFloss

MAGfest X was a fantastic festival of gaming and music for almost all involved, but for a certain vampire hunting professional, it was a quest to regain the honor of the Belmont family after it was questioned and poked-fun at in lyrical-form by a certain video game parody singer.

This was the clash that resulted.

Star Trek The Next Generation HD Remaster Comparison

Back in September, we found out Star Trek The Next Generation was being refreshed for a Blu Ray release. More than refreshed, it is being completely recut from the original negative since the masters were all done on video tape.

This video shows a side by side comparison of the show as it was originally presented (and already released on DVD) and the new version.

The sampler disc containing “Encounter At Farpoint,” “Sins Of The Father,” and “The Inner Light” will be released on January 31. The remainder of the series will be coming, but will take years.

MAGFest 2012: Random Encounter Interview

Sean stops by the Random Encounter Booth in the MAGFest X marketplace to talk to Careless about their “friendly” competition to beat the Descendants of Erdrick to 2000 Facebook likes, how much more awesome their music is, and why we shouldn’t like other bands spawned from evil creatures (even if their music is still pretty kickass).

Plus, a sweet MAGFest Marketplace Montage! (Oooh, alliteration!)

Where did Fox go wrong? Fox went wrong in cancelling this show! You, the audience went wrong in not embracing its brilliance! This hilarious comedy is the greatest new one in years, which means absolutely nothing, because all the comedies on TV right now suck because you idiots can’t tell a good one if it takes a shit between two piece of garbage Fox animated shows that all you mouth breathers are supporting!

The Russo Family Wizard is…

Wizards of Waverly Place - Who Will Be the Family Wizard - Alex (Selena Gomez) Max (Jake T. Austin) and Justin (David Henrie) in the Wizard Competition

Wizards of Waverly Place has come to an end after four excellent seasons. With the finale came the long anticipated Wizard Competition, and with that an answer to the question that fans have been asking themselves for the past four years, “Who will be the Russo Family Wizard”? As is the case in all Wizard families, only one of the siblings is able to keep their Wizard powers and become a more powerful full Wizard, and this decision is made by way of a Wizard Competition. For the sake of spoilers, I will hold off on the reveal until later in the article.

Justin (David Henrie), Alex (Selena Gomez) and Jerry Russo (David DeLuise) at the Wizard Competition in Wizards of Waverly Place: The Movie

The details of the Wizard Competition have always been a mystery. We do get an idea of what one might be like in “Wizards of Waverly Place: The Movie” as Alex and Justin faced off against each other in an emergency competition. In that setting, they had to compete in a battle to reach a sphere using only the four elements. In this case, Alex won the Wizard Competition, and could easily have kept her full powers, but instead decided to return things to what they were to avoid having their family be torn apart.
