SDCC 2014: Marvel releases Ant-Man teaser poster

Ant-Man-Comic-Con_612x942

Entertainment Weekly got an exclusive reveal of a new poster from Marvel showcasing the Ant-Man film currently in production.
The poster was made specifically for SDCC 2014 by Andy Park, a member of Marvel’s visual development department. Paul Rudd is featured as Scott Lang, the main character of the movie. Scott steals the Ant-Man suit and technology from its creator, Hank Pym, portrayed by Michael Douglas.

The film has seen some rough waters recently as Director and Co-Writer of the film, Edgar Wright, has left the project after eight years of involvement. Peyton Reed has been brought on to fulfil the direction gap, while Adam McKay, of Anchorman fame, will be helping with a script rewrite.

Hopefully, we will be hearing more about the film as the weekend progresses. Stay tuned for more!

SDCC 2013: WB announces Man of Steel sequel based on Frank Miller’s The Dark Knight Returns

According to SlashFilm, at the very end of the DC panel, Zack Snyder took over to make an announcement about a Man of Steel sequel:

I’m gonna take the lectern from you, because some shit’s going to happen up here.
It’s official that we are going to make another Superman movie. And you say, Zack, what is the movie about? But you don’t want me to tell you that. You want to go and see the movie. But I can say that maybe there’s a single element that will be in the film that I could… help you out with. I was thinking about how to do that. I pored through the DC Universe to look for a way to tell this thing. We’re writing the thing now, but I came across a thing I found that’ll help you understand it.

The image in the banner came on screen and a voiceover was done:

I want you to remember, Clark, in all the years to come, in all your most private moments, I want you to remember your hand at your throat. I want you to remember the one man who beat you.

This line comes from the end of Frank Miller’s The Dark Knight Returns. Snyder made it very clear that this will not be a direct adaptation, but will instead be used to help form a new story based on many cues from the source. Henry Cavill and the cast from Man of Steel are slated to reprise their roles, while the part of Batman has not yet been cast.

Press release after the jump!

SDCC 2012: Kaitlyn Leeb, the woman with three boobs from Total Recall

Kaitlyn Leeb, the woman with 3 boobs, with Jessica Biel, Melina from Total Recall at SDCC 2012

Kaitlyn Leeb, who will star in the upcoming Total Recall remake as the prostitute with three breasts made an in costume appearance at San Diego Comic-con and makes us wish we had 3 hands! Kaitlyn worked at the Total Recall booth and even posed with fellow Total Recall stars Jessica Biel and Bryan Cranston. We here at Powet are big fans of the original prostitute with three boobs from Total Recall and are very excited to see Kaitlyn in action in what will surely be the defining role of her career. She can be seen in the latest trailer which we posted a few weeks ago when we first talked about this very important character.

The question on everyone’s mind of course is which boobs are real and which are fake? Well, as Kaitlyn has mentioned on twitter, they’re actually all prosthetics.

Jessica Biel's twitter photo of Kaitlyn Leeb, the woman with 3 boobs, with Jessica Biel, Melina from Total Recall at SDCC 2012

Jessica Biel shared a photo of her and Kaitlyn Leeb saying “I found the most popular girl at #ComicCon! Two girls, five boobs. #TotalRecall”. Intentional 2 girls 1 cup reference? Maybe…

Total Recall hits theatres August 3rd. Keep reading for more photos of Kaitlyn Leeb at SDCC 2012.

SDCC 2012: Thomas Jane reprises role as The Punisher in fan film ‘Dirty Laundry’

Thomas Jane debuted a short fan film (NSFW) at SDCC 2012 called Dirty Laundry. Jane reprises his role as the Punisher in the short, which also features a guest appearance from Ron Perlman (Hellboy, Sons of Anarchy). Its pretty great to see actors who are genuine fans of the characters they portray. Jane played the part of Frank Castle in “The Punisher” released in 2004.

Quote from Jane:

I wanted to make a fan film for a character I’ve always loved and believed in – a love letter to Frank Castle & his fans. It was an incredible experience with everyone on the project throwing in their time just for the fun of it. It’s been a blast to be a part of from start to finish – we hope the friends of Frank enjoy watching it as much as we did making it… Not pushing anything. Just a fan film from friends of Frank.

He’s been talking about it on his twitter account, which you go see here.
