So I was going through some of the SDCC 2008 picture galleries from ActionFigureInsider.com and in the Day 3 gallery on page 4, I came across this picture.

Man, she is adorable. I love those boots. But look behind her. The banner over the doors.

A new Underworld movie? Thats news to me. Coming in January 2009? Hell yes! After some some ninja-googling skills were put to work, it appears that its going to be a prequel following Lucian, the lycan, rallying the other lycans to rise up against Viktor and the vampire death dealers. Because we haven’t had enough coverage of Christian Bale this week, a Teaser trailer for the new Terminator movie coming out in 2009 surfaced this week over at io9. In addition a still of Christian Bale portraying John Connor was released with Bale aiming a large automatic rifle at a disabled terminator’s head. Still can be seen above. In January 2009, Marvel will be continuing their series of direct to DVD movie releases with ‘The Hulk Vs’. The DVD will contain two short animated stories each featuring a different fight that the Hulk has been famous for. The first will be Hulk vs. Thor. The second will be Hulk vs. Wolverine. The trailer for Hulk vs. Wolverine was just released as you can see below.

I am happy to say that I have resolved my video editing issues and have this video to share with you all. I do have to say that I really like these new Animated figures. It will be important to note when transforming Starscream back to jet mode that his automorph feature doesn’t work as well as it as it does going to robot mode. It will be most helpful to remember what his underside looks like as I point out in the video.

This is mildly old news by now, but I haven’t seen this specific trailer appear online yet. glu Mobile was on hand at Botcon 2008 with a display that had this trailer on loop. I finally got some video issues worked out and got it uploaded so everyone could see. Enjoy! (Apologies for the screaming kids in the background. Its a toy convention.)

I’ll be honest, the further into this series they go, the less and less I recognize the mechs being made. I do love these little humanoid figures, though. They exude Microman to me.

Fans of DST’s Marvel Minimate universe will be pleased to learn that the next assortments of their favorite super heroes are heading their way later this year! Series 23 and 24 will feature all-new characters, villains and costumes, making these assortments a must-have for any Marvel fan!
