Rumors have been swirling for the past couple days, but Hasbro held its 2009 Fall Investor Event last week showing they were committed to television content, toylines and movies for both Jem & The Holograms and Micronauts. As soon as that announcement was made, it appears that JJ Abrams made a bid for the Micronauts movie. Rumor has it that Micronauts’ appearance in Mattel’s fan poll on licenses they should acquire prompted Hasbro to act quickly to keep Mattel away from Takara and the series from which Transformers originated.
Poweteer Tekwych linked us to this informative blog post made by a Micronauts fan featuring some background and a little speculation.

My sister was a big Jem and the Holograms fan, so I saw my fair share of the Holograms and Misfits. I’m happy to see them make a comeback. What do you Poweteers think? Will you watch new Jem and Micronauts media? Buy the toy lines? Let us know below in the comments!

This may not be new info, but it was new to me. GI Joe Resolute, the micro-series that aired on Cartoon Network as a build up to the hype of the live-action movie, will be making its DVD debut on November 3, 2009. If you are like me, and completely missed the airring, this is your chance to find out what happened.

GI Joe collectors will be gathering this weekend, August 13-16th in Kansas City, MO to celebrate, among other things, the new GI Joe: Rise of Cobra movie. Sure to be a huge boon to the franchise, the movie will be a topic of great discussion at this year’s convention. And what Joe convention is complete without exclusives?
