Warner Bros. and DC’s Mortal Kombat style game, INJUSTICE: Gods Among Us, has gotten itself a ‘Game of the Year’ edition. Dubbing it the Ultimate Edition, this version will feature all of the downloadable content, in addition to the base game, available on disc. It also mentions the new availability for PS4, PSVita and PC, not to mention a mobile version of the game on iPhone and iPad, coming soon to Android.
This edition of the game is currently available as of November 12th on Amazon.

If a game like Tenka had been released in this age of gaming, it would have been dismissed as another me-too dudebro shooter. Thankfully, it was released during the Playstation One era, and its graphics and gameplay helped to set itself apart from other first person shooters of the day. Taking control of Joseph Tenka, you are out to get revenge against the sinister corporation Trojan Inc after you are attacked by one of its experimental bioweapons. You’ll make your way through 20 levels while shooting a variety of enemies. This game was notable for a few reasons. First, instead of picking up a series of weapons, Tenka just carries one gun, and picks up enhancements for it that lets it shoot different types of ammo. Secondly, it was one of the first FPS games to render enemies in 3D (as opposed to using pixelated 2D sprites) and feature a crouch button. While neither of these seem like that big a deal, they both added new enhancements on both graphics and gameplay. Developed by Pygnosis (Lemmings), Tenka was another classic addition to the FPS genre and deserves it’s place alongside the Rise of the Triads and Duke Nukems.

The Ouya isn’t exactly taking the world by storm, but I still gotta show it some love. Yes I know its launch wasn’t exactly perfect and not that many people are buying the software, but it’s not a triple A console, it’s an independently developed project funded via kickstarter. It’s $99, it can run your favorite retro games via emulator, it has a library of games already available for it (for better or worse), and you can develop software for it. That last part is especially important, because with the indie development scene exploding, you’ll wind up with experimental entries like American Dream that you won’t see on Steam any time soon.

We finally have our first look at the trailer for X-Men Days of Future Past.
We have a much better idea of how events will take place now, particularly knowing that the messenger into the past will not be Kitty Pryde (as in the comics), nor Bishop (as in the 90’s cartoon). Instead that messenger will be Wolverine. It makes sense as far as the movie universe goes, unfortunate, though, that those other characters won’t get the development that Wolverine already has.
