John’s video is comprised of the aerial camera rig and helicopter taking sweeping shots of a cemetery. Who died? Jon did get the first known photograph of the Chevy Beat concept car thats joined the cast. A separate eyewitness report yesterday suggested the Beat was racing across Philly’s Ben Franklin Bridge with Bumblebee!

On set with Transformers 2 in Philadelphia

tf2phillybay.jpg
Philly radio legend Josh Landow snuck down to the Italian Market where director Michael Bay had assembled a crew for a scene in Transformers 2. Filming began last week in Bethlehem, PA.
No Transformers (that he saw) were on set, but John Tuturro, Shia Labeouf, and Megan Fox were all present. Read on for his description and some minor spoilers.

TRANSFORMERS 2: Revenge Of The Fallen

thefallens.jpg
Update: CHUD reports that The Fallen in the title of TF2 is in fact The Fallen from The War Within: The Dark Ages
This week in Bethlehem, PA the filming for the highly anticipated Transformers 2 began. And with this beginning comes the title: Revenge Of The Fallen. Whats this title mean? I have 3 theories of equal weight.
Well the most literal interpretation would be that Megatron will have his revenge after his fall in Transformers 1. Obviously this is something audiences would like to see since Megatron didn’t make his big entrance until the third act.
The second possibility is that they’ll incorporate the comic character The Fallen from Dreamwave’s shortlived Transformers Universe. He’s one of the fabled original 13 Transformers, who betrayed Cybertron and its inhabitants and is perpetually on fire. He’s the Judas of Transformers Universe, and he might have responded to Optimus Prime’s call.
The third, though unlikely, possibility is Jazz is returns after his brutal defeat for his own revenge. Darius McCrary was seen on set this week as well as the hard top Solstice GXP. It could be misinformation or unrelated to the title. Too soon to tell.

For news on the first week of filming, see this article from The Morning Call, as well as TFW2005 which has a story titled simply Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen Spoilers and goes into great detail on the call sheet, the actors on set, as well as new vehicles and prototypes on set: Acura NSX, Audi R8, and an SR-71 Blackbird jet! Just like the X-men!

We’ll be following the movie as best we can from this point on, both here on the main page of Powet and on our forums. Register and read Transformers 2 rumors and post anything you hear or see online!

Lost Classics: Soldiers of Fortune (SNES, Genesis)

chaos.jpgThis is not to be confused with the fan favorite PC and Dreamcast game Soldier of Fortune. Soldiers of Fortune is the name given to the USA Super Nintendo and Sega Genesis release of the Amiga cult hit The Chaos Engine, which was developed and published by UK developers The Bitmap Brothers. It was also ported to the RISC OS, the Amiga CD32, and the Atari ST. Soldiers of Fortune is a 2-player top-down shooter in the vein of Ikari Warriors with a few elements borrowed from Gauntlet, and some alternate history science fiction thrown in for good measure.

Famicom Dojo – Video Netcast Promo
Famicom Dojo – Wii Launch Day Special

[Valid RSS]

When people first hear about Famicom Dojo, one of the first things they ask is “got a link to the feed?”

Feed? What is this “feed” you speak of?

Well, wait no more! The Famicom Dojo Video Netcast premieres this month, featuring full-resolution (480i, anyway), spruced-up versions of all our Season 1 episodes and specials. Videos will be added twice per month until we’ve caught up to all the existing episodes.

New episodes will still premiere here and on 4 Color Rebellion via YouTube through the rest of the season. Sound like a deal?

The feed will also feature some exclusive video content. Nothing terribly extravagent. The current Video Netcast Promo, is a fairly good example. It will also be available on YouTube (in a little while) to alert any subscribers who don’t regularly visit Powet.TV

Nothing’s changing, we’re just adding more content and another delivery system. We’re probably not going to post every time the feed is updated, but we’re certainly going to mention it every time a new Season 1 episode goes up. You can still check your favorite geek sites for new videos, and — as always — stop by Powet.TV for our show notes, and other great shows!

So what are you waiting for? Subscribe already! And be sure to leave feedback at our free iTunes storefront to let others know how great this show is! And feel free to become a fan on our new Facebook page!

Secret ApprenticeIt was revealed earlier today by Namco Bandai that a third Star Wars character will be making an appearance in the upcoming Soul Calibur IV game, due out in July, in the form of Darth Vader’s Secret Apprentice from the game Star Wars: Force Unleashed.

Capcom’s Spyborgs coming to Wii

Capcom has announced a new 3rd person action adventure game for Wii that quite frankly looks like real fun. They’re going for an 80s afternoon cartoon vibe, complete with minigames taking place of commercial breaks. Spyborgs doesn’t have much to show yet (just this trailer and a press release after the break), but the new team Bionic Games has members who worked on some of the biggest games of the last few years, including members of Insomniac (Ratchet & Clank) and Activision (Tony Hawk, Call Of Duty).
Game comes out next year, but a goofy over the top action game is always welcome.
