Thankfully this isn’t some crap console or PC title. Instead, it looks like it’ll be some kind of online web thing gathering clues from the show with the reward being more information about the show. Given how I still don’t know why there’s a polar bear on the island, any information about the show is a good enough reward for me.

In the days before I had TechTV and G4 hadn’t even risen, let alone fell, video game programming on television was rare.
Some kind soul has uploaded a Discovery Channel special on the history of video games, one I really liked the first time I saw it. Starts with Atari and Pong and goes up until the success of Tetris, touching on the lesser known struggles of the early days of the electronic game world.
This link also provides a download option if you want to watch on your computer or iPod.

This internet oddity come straight off Digg.
Its real easy, just go to Jet Blue, then select a destination city. Hold the shift key and type “PBJ” on your keyboard. A little window will pop up.
Why? Who the heck knows. Webmaster must be an FG fan or something.

The Battlestar Gallactica merchandise is finally starting to make its way to the consumers. Figures.com is reporting that Majestic Studios will be releasing the first two figures in a series. This first wave will include Captain Lee Adama aka Apollo and the Cylon Centurion. They will make their debut at the San Diego Comic Con and will make their way to stores shortly thereafter. Apollo will stand 12 inches tall while the Centurion will be 13 1/2 inches tall to keep in scale.
Apollo will be sporting his flight fatigues including helmet and interchangeable hands (one set with gloves on) and a blaster. Creative packaging is said to be happening in addition to the decision for the next figure being decided based on fan response. It will either be the sultry Number Six or Number 8 aka Boomer.
An announcement about a San Diego Comic Con exlusive is also said to be coming soon.

Major Leage Gaming has landed a major deal with the USA Network to broadcast its 2006 Championship Season in 7 hour-long installments.
See the MLG coverage blitz in action.
Two games definitely on the roster this year are long-time favorites Super Smash Brothers Melee on Gamecube and Halo 2 on Xbox. New games may be added later, but these 2 titles will be present at every event.
This should be a heck of a show. I don’t know how well it will play to non-gamers, but Halo and SSBM players shouldn’t miss this.

1up previews the Family Guy game
Say, what are the odds this game is going to be… terrible?
The absolute best they can do is retread jokes from the show and not turn in an unplayable mess. Think I’m wrong? Try digging out some South Park and Simpsons games from a bargain bin. The Simpsons arcade game is argueably the only good game to be based on a comedy show, and it just aped the sidescrolling beat-em-up style of TMNT, Final Fight, Double Dragon et al. Do I even bother mentioning Friends?

The Cartoons of Robert Smigel finally get a best-of special on April 29 on Saturday Night Live. In addition to showcasing memorable “TV Funhouse” shorts from the past, the special will also include new segments featuring Ace & Gary the Ambiguously Gay Duo as voiced by Stephen Colbert and Steve Carrel.
This is long over due. Even when the lamest hosts and worst skits derail SNL, any show with a cartoon is worth watching. I’m recording this one.
