jlu310.jpg March madness is upon us, and I ain’t talking Basketball.
We’re now upon the last 4 episodes of the Justice League Unlimited, thus bringing the DC Animated Universe to a close.
Tomorrow night, Cartoon Network will broadcast “Far From Home,” where Supergirl, Green Arrow, and Green Lantern are summoned to the future by Brainiac 5 and the Legion Of Super Heroes.

Spoilers follow…

The Legion Of Super Heroes has been mostly captured, only Braniac 5 and Bouncing Boy remain. Brainiac 5, by the way, is a good guy. He’s an organic evolution of the Brainiac we all know and fear.
Anyway, they dust off some kind of time machine and kidnap Kara on her 21st birthday, scooping up our favorite green guys as well. After its explained that the heroes of the past are the only hope for the future, they set off to save the rest. Its not long before Arrow and Lantern are captured as well, leaving Kara alone to help Brainiac.
Over the course of the massive fight with, lets face it, laregely unknown characters, Kara develops a crush on Brainiac. When the time comes to send the visiting JLU members back, she stays in the future. Kara sends a recorded message back to Superman explaining why she left, and emotions run high.
Theres a nice comedic twist at the end when Superman asks “… about this boy she likes?” to Green Arrow and Green Lantern, whe seem unwilling to divulge the name “Brainiac”

Next week its “Ancient History” as the love triangle of Hawkman, Hawkgirl, Lantern, and Vixen (Ok, love rectangle) comes to a head.
