Bioshock Infinte Debut Trailer

For those of you wondering if Bioshock was going to move beyond just a sequel and into a full series, wonder no more.

Moving beyond the underwater world of Rapture, Bioshock Infinite rolls the clock back to 1912 in the flying city of Columbia. Irrational Games, devlopers of the original Bioshock, have been hard at work on the title for some time now, though they do not plan to release it until 2012.

What do you think? Are ready to leave Rapture for an even crazier setting? Will the next Bioshock go underground or in space?

Lost Classics: Baseball Stars (NES)

BaseballStarsCoverSNK’s Baseball Stars did for video game baseball what Tecmo bowl did for video game football. Actually that isn’t right. Tecmo bowl merely made video game football more fun and realistic. Baseball Stars not only made video game baseball more fun and realistic, but it also introduced features that were unprecedented at the time. By being one of the first video game sports titles to feature built-in memory, it contained some features that were unseen in other sports titles at the time. It is considered by many to be the best baseball game ever released on the NES, and many of the features it introduced still impact sports games today.

$20 Game of the Week: Grand Theft Auto IV (PC, Xbox 360, PS3)

gta4With the release of Grand Theft Auto 3, the GTA series went from a cult hit to a pop culture icon almost overnight. However, as titles such as Vice City Stories painfully illustrated, the series was beginning to run its course. Though it was far from mediocrity, it was becoming obvious that the series would need to be reinvented if it was to maintain its relevance in the new generation of game consoles. Thankfully, this was a fact that was not lost on Rockstar, and they went right back to the drawing board for GTA IV and came back with nothing less than a masterpiece.

Its been almost 8 months since we first found out it was coming, but the sequel to the amazing hit game Batman: Arkham Asylum finally has a title.

The official site ArkhamHasMoved.com was updated today with the new logo and the official title Arkham City.

The teaser trailer on the site has been updated to reflect the addition of the title, but its the same footage we saw last year.

The Joker is sure to continue to play a large role in this game, which is welcome since actor Mark Hamill says this will be his last time in the role.

Batman: Arkham City will release fall 2011.

Soundgarden Will Release Hits Retrospective With Next Guitar Hero

soundgardenguitarhero
Soundgarden announced their intent to reunite some time ago (the group split back in 97) and they’ll take the stage for the first time since then at Lollapalooza this weekend. Coincidentally, it was at Lollapalooza in 1996 that I saw Soundgarden while touring in support of their last studio album.
Anyway, their next release is Telephantasm, which is much like their last release A-Sides, a greatest hits album with one new song. What a value to those of us who supported Soundgarden and already own the albums!

Its not all doom and gloom though, since the first million copies of the next Guitar Hero title, Warriors Of Rock, will include the single CD version that album. The unreleased song “Black Rain” will be on the CD and will be available for play in the game. The game releases September 28, and the standalone release of Telephantasm will not release until October 5, so you can get a limited Soundgarden fix a week early!

Hit the jump for the full track listings to the CD and the limited edition CD/DVD combo.
