Transformers Leadfoot Likes Buttwipes, Antacids

Crass humor is nothing new to the Live Action Transformers universe. So it is in this spirit that I present new images of the Target Exclusive deluxe Leadfoot action figure.

These three images were taken from an ebay auction, as the figure has not yet been released.

Leadfoot’s alternate mode is the #42 Target Racer from NASCAR, which like all vehicles features multiple sponsors. Leadfoot’s robot appearance features a prominent ‘belly’ making him the fattest Transformers character since Grand Convoy. It is fitting then that his rear panels have logos for Cottonelle (toilet paper) and Tums (antacid). He may fuel up on Energon, but I’ll be he also has a lot of gas.

This is funny because he is fat.

SDCC 2011: The Dark Knight Returns And Other DC Animation

Following a screening of Batman: Year One, WB animation producer Bruce Timm announced to the audience their next movie projects.
The next feature will be Justice League Doom, an adaptation of Tower of Babel. Following that will be Superman vs. The Elite, and then the long await The Dark Knight Returns.

The Dark Knight Returns will be Warner Premier’s first two part feature, and Timm said the movie will be very faithful to the original. No voice cast has been announced by Andrea Romano said she is interested in bringing long time Batman actors Kevin Conroy and Mark Hammill on board. We first reported TDKR would be a future project in April.

Timm was also asked about Kingdom Come as a possible project, but said that the style of the artwork does not lend itself to 2D animation. The Killing Joke remains a possibility for the future.

SDCC 2011: New Info from the Walking Dead Game

If you’re s survival horror and zombie buff like I am, chances are you know about Image Comics’ “The Walking Dead” series. You might even be on of the newcomers that hopped on-board the undead train when TWD became a tv series on AMC. However, did you know if was getting a video game too?

This may be a good or bad thing, given the heavy use of the zombie genre these days, but The Walking Dead has alot of brand-name weight behind it, and Telltale Games (known for doing the recent Back to the Future game) is bringing it to the interactive stage. Though it still has no clear release date for the game other that Q4 2011, here is some info on it’s content courtesy of Rely on Horror.

You’ll be faced with choices to make regarding who to save and who to leave behind, ideally you would expect this to lead to some harsh consequences especially if the person you opted to leave behind ends up living and confronting you once again. This is exactly going to be the case in the game and this will prove to be quite an incentive for multiplay play-throughs, seeing as how every one will have you with different survivors.

SDCC 2011 – Speilberg’s Terra Nova Pilot Debut

The first half of the pilot for the new FOX series produced by Steven Speilberg debuted this morning at San Deigo Comic Con – Terra Nova – which is about time travel and dinosaurs and “Won’t have a T-Rex”, as viewers were assured. IGN reports;

There are definitely some really interesting scenes here and the concept itself – a futuristic world where pollution and overpopulation have doomed humanity, which then resorts to using a wormhole, and a lottery-system, to take people back 85 million years to try and create a new society – is fascinating.

If you have no idea what Terra Nova is and haven’t heard about it until now, check out the original trailer –

As soon as the pilot is uploaded, we’ll add it to this article. The two-hour pilot of Terra Nova premieres on 9/26 at 8pm on FOX.

New Live Action Sailor Moon Show Rumoured to Start in October

Will Minegishi Minami of AKB48 be Sailor Moon in a New Live Action Sailor Moon show?

A very old very unreliable rumour of a new Sailor Moon show is making the rounds on the Internet. After reading about it on my favourite Sailor Moon message board I tracked the source down to a Live Journal post which referenced many sources, all unreliable, some of which date back to May 1st 2011. The show would be an hour long and play on TBS starting October 23rd 2011.

I have no expectation that there is any validity to these rumours. I only post this here as the rumour itself may be of general interest if the news gets around the Internet. Since May there has been nothing resembling official confirmation from any of the involved parties. Almost every one of these actors is a Japanese pop singer, leading me to believe this is just a random wish list made up by some Japanese Pop music fan.

Here’s the full proposed cast of this new show:

Minegishi Minami of AKB48 as Sailor Moon

Minegishi Minami from AKB48 as Sailor Moon

Serina from SDB48 as Sailor Mercury

Serina from SDB48 as Sailor Mercury

Kotera Mari as Sailor Mars

Kotera Mari from Tsubomi as Sailor Mars

Akimoto Sayaka from AKB48 as Sailor Jupiter

Akimoto Sayaka from AKB48 as Sailor Jupiter

Michisige Ayumi of Morning Musume as Sailor Venus

Michisige Ayumi from Morning Musume as Sailor Venus

Massuda Takahisa as Tuxedo Mask

Massuda Takahisa as Tuxedo Mask

This is just half the cast. Keep reading for the rest of the people you’ve never hear of who are supposed to be in this show which will never exist!

SDCC 2011: Lost “LOST” clip of Jacob and Man In Black

San Diego ComiCon is full of surprises. Con-favorite show LOST always had a huge panel with exclusive clips shown every year. The show ended last May, but for some reason, there is still another clip for this year.

Watch above as a moment from the first season plays out with Jacob and his brother, the Man In Black, looking on to discuss the castaways ultimate fate. Its directed by series regular Jack Bender with Mark Pellegrino and Titus Welliver reprising their roles.

This clip was presented at SDCC by Executive Producers Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse, who did hold a “One Year Later” panel. Hit fix has a full description of their comments and answers to fans.

Barry’s story needs to be told…
