Today, we take a look Thor and Hulk from the Marvel Legends Icons Line. This line features 14 inch tall figures with the same articulation of the standard 6 inch Marvel Legends line. You may remember taking a look at the first two figures in this line when we did the Powet Toys: Civil War edition.

Gotta love the scale of Icons Hulk to normal Cap.
Seriously though, that Thor is freaking gorgeous. The cloth cape is a nice touch too. I haven’t been too interested in buying one from the Icons line, but after that, Thor’s looking pretty tempting to me. Gotta love the size of that hammer. Too bad that they didn’t get the inscription on it, what with it being so ginormous though.

I feel like the Icons Hulk is more to scale with the 6 inch line, if for no other reason than he can face-palm the 6 inch figures’ faces.
Thor’s hammer didn’t really strike me as being too large for the figure. Isn’t it supposed to be large?

No, no, I don’t think it’s too large. I actually love how they really gave it the essence of a big, huge freakin’ hammer. It’s huge in the awesome sense, not in the disproportionate sense.
And since you put Cap and Iron Man side by side with those two, I definitely agree with you on Hulk being more to scale with the 6 inch figures. Otherwise he’s not an overwhelming behemoth – he’s just slightly wider than Cap. In fact, I was wondering in my head how he compared to the other Icons vs. the 6 inchers, and I really appreciate you having put them all in there so I could see the comparison. That was a really good visual to get.

I would have liked it more if you have gotten the spider man from the icons line. By the way, what do you think about the beast.

I never picked up Spider-Man because I got a really big spider-man figure from the Spider-man 2 clearance stuff. I never picked up Beast either because I wanted the blue version and I never found it. I skipped Wolverine too. I just didn’t like his sculpt. It looked overdone.
Cap, Hulk and Thor are probably the best of the line so far.

I agree that hulk is the best so far . I dont like thor that much but seeing as i’m a big fan of him i picked it up anyway. I hated the black beast so i searched
like crazy for the blue version. I was so happy that I found one at KB toys. And its a good thing you did not get the spider man. You would have had a hard time making it stand because its ankles are very loose. I got spider man last friday. It has a good paint app though. And I have been looking for hulk at least a month.
