Update: Unfortunatly, the video is being removed at the request of Marvel/Paramount from various sources. Please refer to our Thor discussion thread at our forums to see if a fellow Powet member has a link if the above video goes dead.
This trailer was apparently played in the SDCC 2010 panel for the Thor movie. We’ve updated with a better source.
This is a very long trailer. Titanic long. Enjoy! Thor release May 2011 with Chris Hemsworth in the lead role. Also prominently featured in this trailer is Clark Gregg as Agent Coulson of SHIELD.
Hasbro and Marvel held their panel for their various action figure lines and there were some surprises including a promise to return to Marvel Legends in a big way in 2012. I take back what I said in this post, but I hope we are back to full waves of single figures and not these 2-packs. Its certainly a way off, but any news is good news at this point.
In the meantime, lets look at some of the big reveals for everything else they had to talk about after the jump!

More images will be added as things are put in display cases and pictures of those start coming in. [Read the rest of this entry…]

During the Marvel Studios Panel fans got to see clips of both Captain America (which only has 5 days of shooting so far) and Thor (which is much further along), but the talk of the show was the entire Avengers cast on stage.

Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark/Iron Man, Clark Gregg as Agent Coulson, Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow, Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Chris Evans as Captain America, Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury, Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye, and Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner/Incredible Hulk. Joining them was Director Joss Whedon and Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige
Whedon announced “I’ve had a dream all my life, and it was not this good! …and I am going to blow it!”
The movie is nowhere near filming yet, and even further from release, but with the role of Bruce Banner recast for the 2nd time in a decade, its one step closer to being reality.
One of the more elaborate displays at SDCC this year is the Throne of Asgard to help hype the forthcoming Thor movie. UGO managed to snap a couple pictures of Stan Lee sitting on the throne. You can check them out here. I’ve added a few more images of throne after the jump.
Hasbro continues to show us that Marvel Legends are simply an after-thought now during preview night when they showed us the 3 2-packs we voted on last year. The winners of that poll were Black Widow, Valkyrie and Deadpool. Deadpool will be packaged with Warpath in his current X-Force. There will be a variant pack where Deadpool will be wearing his X-Men costume from Cable and Deadpool. The variant version of Warpath will feature his more traditional costume.
The second 2-pack is Black Widow with Winter Soldier. The variants have Black Widow in a grey outfit with shorter hair, while Winter Soldier has longer hair. The third pack is Valkyrie and yet another Hulk figure. No word if there is a variant pack for those two.
No other Marvel Legends were seen during Preview Night. I will be genuinely surprised and happy if more are revealed over the next few days. These figures should start showing up in October as Toys R Us exclusives
