The next pair of Avengers destined for the Marvel Minimate treatment in wave 16 were announced earlier today on Raving Toy Maniac. Quicksilver and the Scarlet Witch make their minimate debut. Pictures below. Can’t wait for this two pack!

 

Its been quite a busy week in the world of Minimates. The DC Minimates will have another wave coming. This one will hit around September of 2007. Wave 5 will consist of the following pairings:

Captain Marvel and Mary Marvel	Guy Gardener and Kilowog
Hawkman and Hawkgirl	Red Tornado and Ma Hunkel

Yesterday, Diamond Select Toys revealed the most asked for marvel minimate for the past several waves, The Mighty Thor. Wave 16 of the Marvel Minimates will be an Avengers themed wave. Each day this week, starting today, a new pair of figures will be announced with the whole group being revealed on Friday. Each announcement will be made on a different site. ActionFigureeXpress comes through with yet another hot exclusive. This time in the form of a King Randor staction. Masters of the Universe officianados may remember that King Randor was an SDCC exclusive for 2005 from the Four Horsemen. You can see a review of this convention exclusive Randor here. This time around Randor is sporting a new head sculpt, cape and shield. The shield replaces the staff accessory that came with the convention exclusive and if you look closely sports some memorable acid burns. His color scheme also matches that of the original Randor figure from the 80’s line.

Hasbro.com has posted images of what appears will be the next wave (third wave for those counting) of Titanium ships. The wave includes the Battlestar Pegasus, Classic Cylon Raider, and a repainted Cylon Raider from the episode ‘Scar’.

  

Also of note was the appearance of a Cylon Centurion. I had not heard anything about Titanium figures for BSG outside of the ships.

Marvel is putting out a new bust. This bust features Rachel Grey as she appeared on the cover of Uncanny X-Men 468 where she is sporting a new tattoo forced upon her as marker by the Shi’ar identifying her as a carrier of the phoenix force.

 

Action Figure X-Press has gotten themselves an exclusive version of the bust where Rachel is using some of her phoenix abilities.
