Even though this game is nearly 30 years old, and even though I’ve had it for almost eight, I’ve never played The Mysterious Murasame Castle until I found out it was going to be released on 3DS Virtual Console. It seems a lot like a Zelda prototype that still has all of the arcade-style trappings that Zelda itself did away with. But it’s also fun and frenzied in its own right. I highly recommend you pick it up — even if you don’t have a Famicom Disk System.
