Powetcast 141: Marvel vs DC

Women – I could go either way.
Dudes – Again, either way.
Strongest – Like Bumblebee said, the Hulk.
Crossover/Event: Toss up between Crisis and Civil War.
Movies: Marvel. I wasn’t all that impressed with Superman Returns, and all DC has had is Batman. Meanwhile Marvel has mostly been hitting it out of the park ever since Blade. Most of their major franchises have spawned good movies and even the few missteps have been decent. I even liked Daredevil and Elektra.

TV: I’m it to DC. DC’s Live Action and animation has always been diverse and the Batman animated series pretty much set the standard for Superhero TV. Not to say that Marvel is doing bad at all though, they’ve put out classic series as well. If anyone is a loser here though, it’s Image. Savage Dragon was aPG rated version of it’s former self, Wildcats was an X-men rip off, and the Spawn series on HBO made no sense.

Video Games: Marvel. Again, all DC has had is Batman, even though Arkham Asylum and Arkham city were both classics, Marvel has had a bigger volume of good games.

Comics: Both DC and Marvel have been putting out their best foot forward in recent years, but Marvel doesn’t reboot it’s entire universe every few decades, so they edge out.
