With new Halos, Metroids, and Zeldas now released, our eyes can now safely turn toward the next big sequel this fall: Mario.

Several times over.

It’s one of those questions that you aren’t supposed to ask about video games. Like, why does Samus keeps losing her gear; or, how does Link communicate with the people of Hyrule without apparently saying a word? (My vote is sign language)

It was the entire point of the end of Luigi’s Mansion — he was killed at the end of Mario 64, so the bad guy COULDN’T have been Bowser in Luigi’s Mansion, despite making a Bowser costume and everything.

I didn’t play Luigi’s Mansion. By the time I got a gamecube, the reviews made it sound like one of the worst games ever made.

I did play Mario Sunshine, which came out later and was the last Mario series game before New SMB, where Bowser was alive and well. Also alive in New SMB. So dead in one bad game, alive in all good games.
