Rocksteady’s Batman: Arkham Asylum wasn’t just the first good Batman game since the 16-bit days (well, the first good Batman game that didn’t involve Lego at least), it did for the caped crusader what games like Spider-Man 2, Hulk: Ultimate Destruction, and The Punisher did for their respective heroes: It put players into the role of a comic book superhero like never before. You weren’t just moving him around the screen and punching out opponents, you could make Batman do all the cool stuff that you saw in the comics and movies. You could sneak up behind enemies and take them out one by one, hang from above and dive in on a hapless foe, and effortlessly take out groups of armed thugs with little or no effort. You could even tap into his detective skills to find hidden objects and secrets. Rumors of Wonder Woman’s casting have been swirling for years and that has only heated up with rumors that the Amazon might appear in the forthcoming Batman/Superman film featuring Ben Affleck and Henry Cavill, respectively. The HollywoodReporter is reporting that actress Gal Gadot has been cast for the role in the Man of Steel sequel.
“Wonder Woman is arguably one of the most powerful female characters of all time and a fan favorite in the DC Universe. Not only is Gal an amazing actress, but she also has that magical quality that makes her perfect for the role. We look forward to audiences discovering Gal in the first feature film incarnation of this beloved character.” -director Zack Snyder.
This will be Gadot’s first time in a leading role after having portrayed mostly supporting roles in notable films in several of the Fast & Furious movies and Knight and Day.
Gal seems to have the right look, but she has a very small frame. I would have imagined a female body builder more in line with the look for the role. This seems like a hard sell. I look forward to seeing how they will make it work.
A brand new trailer has surfaced again for Man Of Steel. Strangely this one comes from Nokia.
This is by far the best trailer I have seen yet. It is almost entirely action and very quickly paced. It still seems a bit odd, though, that no where in the marketing for this movie has the name “Superman” once been uttered.
Henry Cavill is starring as Clark Kent/Superman.
Man of Steel is set to premiere in the US theaters on June 14, 2013.

The new Man of Steel trailer has been released. We some bits or origin, some bits of Zod, and a whole lot of voiceover. I think this is the best of the trailers so far. The others really seemed to lack external conflict.

Man of Steel stars Henry Cavill as Superman and is set for release on June 14, 2013.
The newest animated feature coming from DC Entertainment is Superman Unbound. We see Superman and Supergirl taking on Brainiac with lots of backstory concerning Brainiac’s attack on Krypton and the disappearance of its capital city, Kandor. The story is loosely based on the 2008 Action Comics plotline written by Geoff Johns.
The movie is due out later this year and will feature Matt Bomer as Superman, Molly Quinn as Supergirl, John Noble as Braniac and Stana Katic as Lois Lane.
September 9th at midnight, Cartoon Network will be airing a Robot Chicken special featuring skits based on DC Comics characters and fiction. It looks like this will be similar to their Star Wars specials. A teaser was made public, which we have embedded above. Enjoy!

We’ll discuss Bane, Alfred, Lucius Fox, John Blake, Selina Kyle, and the overflowing cast of The Dark Knight Rises. There is a lot of plot and a lot of holes, but that doesn’t mean we don’t talk about what we liked and loved about the movie too!
