It’s been over 2 years since Season 4 of Venture Bros. ended with “Operation P.R.O.M.” and left us all wondering what was next in store for Dean & Hank, as well as the now huge cast of other main and secondary character we’ve all grown to love. With Seasons 5 and 6 being greenlit, we’ve since had to wait patiently for the rare announcement of progress. (satiated with a single Halloween Special this past year to tide us over)
Looks like the long wait is going to be over this spring, as leaked on an Adult Swim Q&A teaser recently. According to the Venture Bros. Blog (now currently under maintenance. possibly due to the flood of eager fans crowding to test validity), the new season of Venture Bros. will begin airing May 19th. It also featured a slew of screenshots that give hints as to what’s in store for Season 5. I won’t give spoilers away, but some details hinted to in the last episode of Season 4 are pointed to.
September 9th at midnight, Cartoon Network will be airing a Robot Chicken special featuring skits based on DC Comics characters and fiction. It looks like this will be similar to their Star Wars specials. A teaser was made public, which we have embedded above. Enjoy!
The Young Justice toy line has come to an end, but with the second season currently on tv, I decided I need to buy these figures before they’re gone for good.
Here is a review of the deluxe Superboy and Artemis figures. Kinda disappointed that Superboy didn’t come in his more common jeans/shirt outfit. Artemis is spot on, though the hands could use some work.
Enjoy the video! Buy these toys before they’re gone! They look great with DCUC figures!
Cartoon Network will be brining us a full hour of exclusive DC Comics based entertainment. The DC Nation block will debut March 3rd at 10:00 AM ET. The block will feature animated shorts such as the one featured in the teaser video and will be anchored by the Green Lantern: The Animated Series.
As an adult, I’m pretty amused by this. As a kid, I think I would love it and so would my short attention span.
This week on Cartoon Network, a Thundercats short was aired featuring Snarf. It appears to be a take off of Looney Tunes. Its cute and the re-worked introduction theme works perfectly. Also, for those who love easter eggs, continue on after the jump for a special screenshot from the clip!
A friendly reminder to all that a new episode of the Thundercats airs this evening on Cartoon Network at 8:30 EST. Lion-O and the Thundercats vist the Elephant village in search of one of the magical gems. There is another promo video after the jump.
Tonight on Cartoon Network, the Thundercats return from their brief hiatus. As we saw in the species of Third Earth image, Berbils are back and they debut in this episode. I included the teaser/promo for the episode. Enjoy!
I came across a link on Twitter that was retweeted by one of the writers on the new Thundercats show currently airing on Cartoon Network. The link pointed a tumblr page with an image of different species from Third Earth, the planet, on which, the series takes place.
The text of the tweet I followed was:
This probably shouldn’t have been released, but it’s on this guy’s Tumblr, soooooo – species of Third Earth: skullgrin140.tumblr.com/post/830086461…
