In a few weeks from now, Capcom’s Dead Rising 2 hits store shelves. The wait is still a little too long for some zombie killing, so what better way to get ready for it than this $5.00 downloadable preview? Dead Rising puts players in the role of Dead Rising 2 protagonist Chuck Greene. After making a stop at a gas station, his truck is stolen, and with it, his supply of Zombrex, the anti-zombie medication he needs for his daughter. Thus, he’s stranded in the middle of nowhere, and has to brave through hordes of Zombies in order to find more Zombrex as well as a way out of town before the military quarantines it. Now the man who made that man Mega, Keiji Inafune is here to show us more. He’s released 3 trailers to 3 game sites, each with the same introduction, but different gameplay footage.
If you believe Capcom’s ‘history’ of this downloadable title, then the company discovered this secret cartridge of a game that was in development for the NES. Supposedly, Capcom began work on the title only to cancel it due to the emergence of the Super Nintendo, only to rediscover it in a vault 2 decades later. Late Night talk show host Jimmy Fallon’s name is in the game as part of a supposed ‘contest’ that he won as a kid. Of course after seeing this game in action, I’m sure that most of you briefly forgot that this game was released in 2010 and not 1989. I know I sure did. [Read the rest of this entry…]
During a live stream of Marvel VS Capcom 3 with play-by-play annoucements, Capcom-Unity‘s Seth Killian let slip that veteran voice actor Nolan North performs the role of Deadpool. This is actually the first confirmation of any of the voice talent in the game.
North is one of the best known voice actors in games today, with notable roles as Uncharted’s Nathan Drake, Halo 3 ODST’s Romeo and The Prince of Persia himself. He was also Raphael in the acclaimed movie TMNT as well as literally dozens of other voice roles.

Capcom takes on all comers. First they pitted their Street Fighters against X-Men, then the entire Marvel Universe, rival developer SNK, and finally Tatsunoko anime stars. Who’s next?
Never stepping away from a challenge, Street Fighter producer Yoshinori Ono was approached by Tekken producer Katsuhiro Harada live at ComiCon, and sure enough they had a new tag team game ready to demo. Ryu and Chun Li from Street Fighter against Kazuya Mishima and Nina Williams of Tekken! The game will be in 2D, similar to the Street Fighter IV and developed by Capcom. Ono-san says its early in development, so we’ll have to keep playing SFIV and then Marvel VS Capcom 3 before we’ll get our hands on the new game, titled “Street Fighter x Tekken.”
Tekken Die-hards will be pleased to know a 3D game similar to Tekken 6 is also in production called Tekken x Street Fighter at Namco.
Chun-Li, Trish, Super Skrull and Dr. Doom make their Marvel vs Capcom 3 debut in this trailer that surfaced today.

Of course we’re still really excited for the next installment in the Capcom Vs series. The newest characters, Dante from Devil May Cry and Deadpool from Marvel, are no great surprise as they were hinted at from the beginning. This new teaser picks up where the last left off, and hints at even more characters to be revealed soon.
Capcom promised a roster of at least 30 characters, so we might be looking at a lot of trailers over the next few months, if they only do 2 at a time…
