The Tranformers Collectors Club has revealed their exclusive membership figure for 2012 and it is none other than Runamuck. Their website revealed the robot and alt modes for the figure, while the head turnaround image was posted to their twitter account. The club’s facebook page had the reveal for the actual head sample. Runamuck’s partner, Runabout, will most likely be one of the two club exclusive figures for 2012 like this year’s Animated Cheetor and G2 Ramjet.

I must say the club has guaranteed a membership renewal from me. This figure looks fantastic. I inquired further on Twitter and confirmed that the head turnaround was done by Dan Khanna. If you want this figure you will need to renew your club membership by March 16th 2012. Any renewals after that time will guarantee you the figure for 2013.

  

There were a few nice items on display that we had not seen before for Mattel’s Ghostbusters line, available only on MattyCollector.com. The new prop replica, following in the footsteps of the PKE Meter, is a ghost trap, available in Fall of 2011. Also on display was Vigo the Carpathian, whom we have not seen before. Sideshow Collectibles has posted a video to share some background on two of their upcoming releases in the GI Joe 12 inch action figure line. Zartan and Rock n Roll are featured along with a great look at some of their accessories and the designing decisions behind them.

Seems Shinji Mikami, creator of Capcom’s titular survival horror video game series Resident Evil is getting his own action figure!

At least, that’s what the April Fool’s joke would lead you to believe.

Capcom Unity and AndriaSang.com reports that several hoax images have been created by Tango Gameworks (who Mikami now works for after having left Capcom a few years back) that feature Resident Evil creator Shinji Mikami as a full-blown action figure that comes with accessories such as a shavable beard, a button that launches him into outer space depending on how much praise you give him, and shouts such quotes as “This Armani suit cost an arm ‘n a leg” and “If Shumacher had his own meal, you think he’d call it stewmacher?”

Mikami worked on all the Resident Evil games right up until Resident Evil 4, as well has having a hand in producing Devil May Cry (what originally started out as being Resident Evil 4), Dino Crisis, Killer 7 and God Hand.
