FANtastic Exclusive 2006 Photo Gallery added

Now that I have all the minotaurs from the 7th Kingdom series from the Four Horsemen, I took the opportunity to put together a photo gallery. Its far from professional, but it gives you a good look at the figures, their posability, and their accessories. I tried to have a little fun with it and give each minotaur a little personality by differing up their poses and weapons. The accessories give credit to a wide range of options with some mixing and matching of the halberd, spear and flag.

You can see the gallery by clicking here:

FANtastic Exclusive 2007 Round 3 ends

FANtastic Exclusive 2007 LogoThe Four Horsemen announced the results of the third round of voting for the FANtastic Exclusive on the FANtastic Forums as well as some information on the next round.

The big winner of the Four Horsemen’s FANtastic Exclusive 2007 (http://www.FANtasticExclusive.com) was actually the smallest choice. Action figure fans had the chance to choose from three different sizes for the 7th Kingdom’s “Elephant Swordsman”, and they chose the smallest of the three – 8” to 9” tall. The other two choices were 10” to 11” tall and 12” and taller. These sizes were chosen to represent the basic 6” scale of the Four Horsemen’s previous FANtastic Exclusive release, “Xetheus: Champion of Mynothecea”.

The Four Horsemen expect the next round of voting to begin early next week and will kick off with a discussion thread in the FANtastic Exclusive message boards that begins today. In the fourth round of voting, fans will once again get the chance to choose both the amount and style of articulation the “Elephant Swordsman” will be sporting.

Should he have the exact same amount of articulation as last year’s Xetheus? Maybe your idea is that the “Elephant Swordsman” needs more articulation since a swordsman would need to be quick and agile? Maybe you think the “Elephant Swordsman” doesn’t need as much articulation as some other figures because he’s a bulky, hulking elephant? Hey, now’s your chance you tell us!

So, just drop by the FANtastic Exclusive message boards over the weekend, get in on the discussion, and let us know what you think. Then, early next week be sure to stop in again to vote for your articulation choices.

FANtastic Exclusive 2007. Your voice. Your toys. Your choice.

FANtastic Exclusive 2007 Round 2 results

Four HorsemenThe second round of voting for the Four Horsemen‘s FANtastic Exclusive 2007 has ended. This round determined the actual character from the property chosen in the first round. The first round determined the fans wanted to continue with the 7th Kingdom property. By a landslide vote, the winner for the second round of voting was another representative from the animal kingdom, the Elephant Swordsman, beating out the distantly tied Elemental Warlord and my favorite the human Queen.

The Four Horsemen also passed word along that last year’s exclusive Xetheus and his minotaur soldiers have arrived at 4H’s offices. That means we’ll be seeing them in the mail very soon. I was fortunate enough to get a full set, except for the recently added Royal Guardsman. You can be sure that an episode of PowetToys will feature these figures.

The third round of voting will be starting very soon and will determine the scale height of the figure along with the amount of articulation it will feature.

FANtastic Exclusive 2007 Round 2 almost over

Four HorsemenIt slipped past my radar, but Round 1 of the FANTastic Exclusive 2007 voting already ended with the 7th Kingdom property coming out on top. The 7th Kingdom is the same property that Xetheus the Minotaur hails from.
From the site:

Proposed line description : The Seventh Kingdom is a classic fantasy/mythology toy line. The story centers around the citizens of six great kingdoms all fighting for an unclaimed seventh kingdom that will shift the balance of power in the victor’s favor. The diverse kingdoms are as follows: animal, humanoid, elemental, alien, mutant outcasts, and machines. The proposed format of the line is six to seven inches tall with well hidden super articulation. Each character would have his or her own specific weapon(s).

The Four Horsemen have put up the second round of voting with eight choices of characters to vote on. The choices are:

  • Human General
  • Alien Shaman
  • Mutant Thug
  • Elemental Warlord
  • Machine Overlord
  • Human Queen
  • Elephant Swordsman
  • Female Elemental

You can see the designs here and vote on them here.

Being someone who actually purchased the Xetheus figure from the FANTastic Exclusive 2006 voting, I’d really like to see that Human Queen made into a figure followed by the Elephant Swordsman. Take a look and see what you want to vote for and let the Four Horsemen know you appreciate the powet of choice!

FANtastic Exclusive 2007 under way

Four HorsemenNot wasting anytime, The Four Horsemen have put up the first poll for their FANtastic Exclusive 2007 voting. The FANtastic Exclusive is a chance to put the fans in the driver’s seat of picking what Four Horsemen line their next series of figures should come from, in addition to picking the character designs, weapons, packaging and more.

You may recall last year’s end result, Xetheus, the Minotaur and the later added exclusive Troop Builder figures.

4HM_FantasticExclusive_RoyalGuard_MinotaurAlso announced from the Four Horsemen is the addition of a seventh minotaur figure, the Mynothecean Royal Guardsman. He will be available for pre-order at the Four Horsemen’s online store, StoreHorsemen starting Saturday September 9th. Thats today for those not paying attention. Supplies will be extremely limited as the figure will only be made in a quantity of 250 and not all of those will be released for pre-order.

FANtastic Exclusive 2006 expands with Minotaur Troop Builders

Four Horsemen The Four Horsemen have announced that their FANtastic Exclusive line will be expanding with five troop builder figures available each as an exclusive to a different magazine or website and limited to only 250 of each figure. The figures will be repaints of the Xetheus figure, but with new head sculpts, accessories and armor details. Apparently the jaw on the new heads will even be articulated.
