This station identification has been brought to you by another lazy sunday with too many toys.

She-Hulk and WonderMan are brought to us today via the minimatemultiverse forums. I’m pretty excited about this entire wave. Tomorrow the entire wave will be revealed all together. It’s unlikely, though, that anything new is left to be shown.

The next pair of Avengers destined for the Marvel Minimate treatment in wave 16 were announced earlier today on Raving Toy Maniac. Quicksilver and the Scarlet Witch make their minimate debut. Pictures below. Can’t wait for this two pack!

 

Its been quite a busy week in the world of Minimates. The DC Minimates will have another wave coming. This one will hit around September of 2007. Wave 5 will consist of the following pairings:

Captain Marvel and Mary Marvel	Guy Gardener and Kilowog
Hawkman and Hawkgirl	Red Tornado and Ma Hunkel

Yesterday, Diamond Select Toys revealed the most asked for marvel minimate for the past several waves, The Mighty Thor. Wave 16 of the Marvel Minimates will be an Avengers themed wave. Each day this week, starting today, a new pair of figures will be announced with the whole group being revealed on Friday. Each announcement will be made on a different site. R2-D2 seems capable of so much with his rockets and all that stuff. Well what if someone configured him to be used as a home theatre system? Just your luck! The fine people at Nikko Home Electornics have done just that.

The R2-D2 Communication System, a 1/5 scale version of the droid, is a complex audio communication device equiped with radio, sounds effects, phone, webcam and is controled by a Light Saber remote! All this for a somewhat affordable $350.

The larger 1/2 scale R2-D2 Mobile Entertainment System is quite a bit more elaborate. He is equiped with a 2D projector (no crappy hologram?!), can play DVDs, CDs and many file types, has a dock for an iPod, has USB slots, memory card inputs for viewing photos, a number of audio/video inputs, radio and sound effects. And this is controled by a Millenium Falcon remote. This one will cost you quite a bit more at $2500.

Spider-Man 3 may be months away, but Sideshow Collectibles already has three 12-inch action figures from Medicon available on their site. You can find each of the toys here: Spider-Man, “Black Suited” Spider-Man, and the spooky villain of the show. (Hint: It’s not Old Man Withers in a mask.)
