The Sarah Connor Chronicles Trailer

I was all down on this project until I saw this footage. I have to admit a weekly Terminator does look like it could be good. I just wish it wasn’t couched in the mid 90s forcing all events to take place before the recent Terminator 3.

It should arrive in early 2008, but the real question is how quickly will FOX kill it?

New Terminator movies

Terminator
A new trilogy of Terminator movies is planned, according to an article by Dark Horizons. The rights to the franchise have moved on to a new company who intends to make new movies without involving James Cameron or Governer Arnold Schwarzenegger. The next movie planned will be written by Terminator 3’s John Brancato and Michael Ferris.

Along with the rights to the Terminator movies go all associated rights to TV, games, chocolate bars and scented soap. That also includes the Sarah Connor Chronicles TV series that’s been in the works for some time.

Thanks to xSharonx for the heads up.

As a Powet.tv exclusive we have a rough cut of Terminator 4 after the jump!

Two More Star Wars Movies?

Star Wars Fan
Fox “News” reports that George Lucas has mentioned he will be doing 2 more live action Star Wars movies. They are to take place around the same timeframe as the stories from the movies but not centered around the Skywalker family. These would be made for TV movies clocking in at about an hour each.

Here’s the relevant portion of the article:

And here’s a little news: Lucas tells me he will make two more live-action films based in the “Star Wars” era.

“But they won’t have members of the Skywalker family as characters,” he said. “They will be other people of that milieu.”

The two extra films will also be made for TV and probably be an hour long each. But, like “Clone Wars,” Lucas doesn’t know where on TV they will land.

The full story can be read here as we await confirmation from a reputable news source.

Thanks to Quantumhawk for the heads up.

Update!

The article is apparently wrong. The reporter was confused and Lucas was actually talking about the 2 animated shows Lucas plans on making. This will be the first and last time I quote an article from Fox News.

LOST: Major Announcement coming May 15

desandhugo.jpg
In just 10 days, ABC and the producers of LOST will announce their intentions for the continuation of the show.

A while back we mentioned the LOST series finale already being planned, and that plan has been finalized. Kristen from E! Online (a reliable source for LOST spoilers) says that it could be only 2 more years of the show. This is a great direction to go in because loose threads can be planned out to be tied up now and any new plot elements will have definite resolutions. Thats important for a show with such strict rules on continuity, dense backstories and time lines, and large cast.

However, we may have to wait a while for new episodes after this season has run. ABC is considering a non-stop season much like FOX does with 24. New episodes would air from January to May in 2008. The silver lining is LOST is likely to regain its earlier time slot, shifting back to 9, possibly even 8 PM EST.

This is of course all operating under the assumption that Locke doesn’t blow everyone up on accident or on purpose.

Adventures In Babysitting Remake?

From the Powet Forum:

So I’m catching Adventures in Babysitting on Oxygen, I’m sure few of you guys frequent this particular channel, and reliving this part of my childhood. I never really liked the little girl when I was a kid because I thought she was bratty but when she’s in her room arguing with her brother who’s pissed cause she used his Clearasil to color yet another picture of her hero Thor I knew I needed her as my avatar with the caption “THOR’S NOT GAY!”.

When I hit up google I came across this that made me vomit in my mouth a little. Just because of the fact that Raven Simone came up in my results unexpectedly.

Brace yourselves.

Curiousity got the best of me and I clicked it to discover that Disney is getting started to put out a remake of Adventures in Babysitting with Raven taking place of Elisabeth Shue’s role (pictured right). My thoughts? Oh, heellll no. [Read the rest of this entry…]
