Commenters: Who was that on the ship? We know the villain of this movie will be Shockwave, but this bot looks nothing like him. A lot of folks seem to think Alpha Trion or Sentinel Prime. Was it a ship of Autobots or Decepticons? Was it an Ark situation where a ship crashed during a fight with both factions on board? And how does this tap into the movie mythology? At this time the US government was holding N.B.E. 1 (Megatron) as well as The Allspark and studying them, so they knew about Transformers.
