Zac and Zero return for the first co-op Keep Playing review. They became friends playing Halo 2 five years ago, will Halo 3 ODST continue the tradition?

I can’t believe I forgot to mention this during the Powetcast, so I’m glad you mentioned the “iconic theme”: the music in this game is amazing. I always thought that the Halo music was properly atmospheric, but somehow — combined with this particular narrative — they really kicked it up a notch. It’s part ’80s sci-fi throwback, part Star Wars, part AWESOME.
The fact that they used an existing engine and models meant they could concentrate on the story, which I think pays off in spades. As an existing Halo fan, not having to learn new game mechanics helped me enjoy the story more, where each chapter encouraged you to enjoy the depth of gameplay that existing engine has to offer.
Bungie asked me to come play in their universe. I for one am happy to Keep Playing.
