STARCRAFT 2 OFFICIAL
by Zac Shipley, filed in Blizzard, Games, PC on May.19, 2007

The worst kept secret in RTS is now common knowledge.
Moments ago at the Blizzard Worldwide Invitational in South Korea, the veteran PC developers announced StarCraft 2 as their next game. IGN is liveblogging the event. Official images and video are expected soon.
Its good to know Blizzard was only teasing. Some kind of update should be rolling onto Blizzard’s site soon. This news is perfectly timed as the next Powet Game Night will be the original StarCraft!

The screen captures are very nice.
Plenty of new units. The Protoss Immortals sound pretty interesting. So does the Protoss Mothership. Most of the upgrades shown seemed to be for Protoss with a couple new terran units and a new Zergling ability to be suicide bombers. They did show some pretty cool pics of swarming zerglings, like a 100. Hopefully you can select more than 12 at a time. That was one of the bigger complaints about the original.
No mention of a fourth race as rumored, but I’d still count on that being a possibility.
