Transformers Masterpiece Megatron coming

By way of TFormers, Digital-Toys has come out and said that the next Masterpiece figure from TakaraTomy will be Megatron.

We’ve just received official word from Takara that the next entry in the Masterpiece line will be MP-05 Masterpiece Megatron to be released March 2007 for only $99.95 Pre-order yours today….

Also, Takara has officially DENIED the rumors that TFC 06 Megatron will be re-released in December.

It should be interesting to see how this turns out if this is true. Having only seen 2 Masterpiece figures so far and those two figures being so very different, Megatron is really going to be a crap shoot. The real question is, what will the alternate mode be?

[Update – Crazy: TFW2005 is reporting he will be released in March 2007. Their source was a different vendor than Digital-Toys so its looking like this is more legit than just a rumor.]

I’m going to guess he’ll be a full-scale handgun (the original was child-sized) that’s rather hollow in robot mode. I don’t quite believe that’s possible, but it’s a nice idea.

In other news, I don’t know what “TFC” is supposed to stand for.

I wonder how all those who said that “he will be a tank” or a robot in a rather “hollow mode” felt when they saw him: AMAZING – the most amazing toy/model I have ever seen in my life. Nothing can be compared to it. G1 Megatron, Chojokin and Alternators look like babies toys compared to MP-05.

The game is worth every penny.

Graphically it is mind blowing. The gameplay is awesome for the Sonic levels and surprisingly good for the werehog. The replay value is enormous and the quality of the game overall is through the roof : great soundtrack and CG etc …

If you love Sonic or not, this is the game you must buy.
