This video turned into a more overly ambitious review than I first thought.

Special thanks to members of the FanEx boards for helping me track down some images and answering my annoying questions!
Overall this toyline stands on its own, which is really good because Mattel’s marketing has been misleading, confusing and full of delayed promises.

Whoa, stop motion animation. Awesome! Fun review. I’m very impressed by all of the engineering behind these new figures. I didn’t think they would have that many joints and hinges. Loved the Smash Bros. reference.

very well done and as rabban said, nice reference. and i think i’ve seen that photo of the heads swapped somwhere else… hmmm….
my only critique was on the explanation of the rocker ankle, it didn’t really describe how that joint moves. and i would have shown a few more close ups on BM for the texturing, which is easy to lose from a distance.

Good points. I was running short on time, otherwise I had wanted to take many more pictures of Beastman and Skeletor for the still image sequence and also add a little audio to that part, but time just was not on my side. I think I got most of my points across though.

Nice review, although I believe that the Mer-Man heads were based on the original toy and the original comic art/packaging art, not the MYP He-man.
Enjoyed the stop motion.

Well look at that. I didn’t even notice the art/packaging differed from the final toy. Thanks for pointing that out.
