TFW2005 is reporting that the long rumored Masterpiece Rodimus will in fact be Rodimus Prime (Convoy) and not just Hot Rod. They offered up some concept art to back up the claim courtesy of 2005 member, S250.
I’d be happy with a masterpiece Winebago. Rodimus Prime doesn’t get enough love in my book.
Can anyone offer anything meanings behind the japanese text in the image?
Not much to say here. I went to Botcon and he sold out in the first 20 minutes. I regretted not getting him, so I ordered him online as soon as I got home.
I don’t order toys online much these days, but boy am I glad I did in this case.
This week I guest starred on Evil Avatar’sShotgun Podcast, a podcast about the wonderful world of video games! I first met up with Ben from Evil Avatar at PAX East 2010 when I tried to smash him over the head with a wrench while dressed as a Bioshock Splicer…
This latest episode covers games like Limbo, Lego Harry Potter, Infamous, Transformers: War For Cyberton and Deathsmiles.
Botcon.com just posted on their twitter account the winner of their twitter contest this year. Basically you just had to tweet about Botcon 2010 at any point over the convention weekend, whether you were in attendance or not. The prize was a lithograph signed by all the guests at the convention. Click on the image above to see a blown up version The signatures on this rock pretty hard.
And the winner of the BotCon 2010 Twitter contest is… @Laellon. Congratulations!!! http://twitpic.com/24pexn
Transformers 3 hit the Windy City in a big way today. Lots of photos from the set have popped up all over the web. The highlight of it all has to be the glorious return of the trailer. Optimus Prime has classically been a big rig, and the original Prime of course pulled a trailer (that disappeared at a moment’s notice). The above video, captured by a fan with a phone handy, shows the heroic Autobot leader racing into battle without hesitation.
As for the Chicago set photos… well this might get into spoiler territory, so I’ll leave those after the cut. I must stress that you’ll only see CARS, we don’t know if they’ll become robots or what robots they’ll become.
UPDATE: Here is a video of some of the other cars heading toward the set:
I was fortunate enough to be able to attend Botcon 2010. This year was the innaugural year of the Transformers Hall of Fame. Inductees included Megatron, Starscream, Bumblebee, Optimus Prime, Hideaki Yoke, Kohjin Ohno, Peter Cullen and Bob Budiansky. Watch the video for more on the topic!
