Marvel.com has posted a new teaser clip of the forthcoming straight-to-dvd feature, Planet Hulk. The clip features the beginning of the first fight between the Hulk and the Red King in the arena. I was excited for this having read the fantastic story in trade paperback form, but the quality of the animation has me even more stoked. The initial Marvel Animated DVD offerings were shaky at best, but there has been noticable and steady improvement with each one. If you cannot wait for this DVD’s release, I would suggest checking out the last DVD feature from the House of Ideas, Hulk Vs or picking up the Planet Hulk trade paperback. The animated Planet Hulk comes out this week on February 2nd.
AC/DC are contributing what appears to be the entire soundtrack to the next Marvel motion picture. The above video is “Shoot To Thrill” which is a song that originally appeared on AC/DC’s Back In Black album (which most of you should own since its sold 49 million copies and sits behind Thriller as the #2 highest selling album). the album AC/DC: Iron Man will release on April 19, and has 15 tracks.
The video has some new footage not seen in existing trailers, and a lot of stuff we’ve seen. Its all intercut with a performance from AC/DC last month in Buenos Aires from December 2009.
Its unlikely that the whole movie will be filled with AC/DC songs, but “Back In Black” was a big part of the first Iron Man’s advertising and soundtrack so I guess they’re just trying to fill out some corporate cross promotional potential. Still, if you never bought and AC/DC record, this might not be a bad start. [Read the rest of this entry…]
Joe Carnahan’s big screen remake of The A-Team looks amazing. You might have some doubts as you watch the standard action movie fare with a slowed version of the original theme, but the last 20 seconds of the trailer sell the entire flick. I don’t even want to spoil it. I’ll just say that any sequel to last summer’s GIJOE movie will have to stretch far to beat such an outlandish action sequence.
Liam Neeson leads the cast as Hannibal Smith, with Bradley Cooper (ALIAS, The Hangover) as Face, Rampage Jackson (UFC Fighter) as BA Baracus, and overnight sensation Sharlto Copley (District 9) as Howlin’ Mad Murdock.
With the success of Megaman 9 on most consoles as downloadable content, it seems Capcom is following up with another sequel to the Megaman series. Gametrailers.com has the debut game trailer for Megaman 10 coming out in 2010 with new Easy Mode!
Apple.com has the first official trailer for Iron Man 2 online.
You’ll need to have Quicktime, but considering its been a standard format for movie trailers for about 11 years, you shouldn’t be shocked. In fact you should be thrilled because its available in 1080p!
I’m sure some kind soul will upload it to youtube soon, or perhaps you’ll be able to actually see it in a theater in the next week or so.
Youtube user withonea has some pretty inspired edits on his account, but the lip syncs and the actions for this one in particular are pretty great. Take a look at some of his other work after the jump. [Read the rest of this entry…]
