I think it goes without saying why this movie will be absolutely terrible. But it will be.

Not the best it could’ve been, but certainly not Legend of Chun-li, DB Evolution, or even X-Men Wolverine style bad. Also, the lead guy’s actually cute instead of looking like the Justin Chatwin/Channing Tatum d-bag that so many of these sorts of movies are so fond of. Not to mention some of the folks they casted can actually fight and most of them look like their counterparts. I dunno, this seems significantly less shitty than other adaptations. I wanna see this.

Looks like a blatant rip off of Mortal Kombat, which is great, but I would respect this movie more if it was trying to do it’s own thing. Really the only problem I have with this movie is that I don’t care about Tekken. I can enjoy a Mortal Kombat, DoA or Street Fighter movie that’s kind of lame just because I enjoy seeing how they adapt characters from games I’m familiar with, but I don’t know who anyone in this game is.

Still, girl looks hot and I’ll probably rent it.

And I still wonder if they managed to sneak Jackie Chan in there as Lei Wulong, though I’m doubtful of it at this point.
