Here’s the trailer for Lucasfilms’ new Clone Wars show. Yep.
Sure looks nice. I guess. Didn’t this show already come out? Oh yeah, it was way back in 2004. I notice some repeat sets, repeat characters, probably repeat events. I know George is fond of Special Editions but did he have to go and order a remake of the only good Star Wars to be commited to the screen this decade? Some 30th Anniversary!
I was all down on this project until I saw this footage. I have to admit a weekly Terminator does look like it could be good. I just wish it wasn’t couched in the mid 90s forcing all events to take place before the recent Terminator 3.
It should arrive in early 2008, but the real question is how quickly will FOX kill it?
Sylvester Stallone revives another classic character for an over the hill swan song. Much like Rocky Balboa before it, John Rambo sounds ridiculous on paper, but in action looks insanely awesome.
IGN has released the first trailer for the upcoming Transformers movie tie-in game. The footage comes from the Xbox 360 version of the game and shows off Bumblebee, Optimus Prime and Barricade in motion. We see them driving, fighting, scaling buildings and we get a good glimpse of Prime transforming! The character models are very impressive and need to be seen in motion to be appreciated. Best of all the trailer is narrated by Optimus Prime himself, Peter Cullen!
The Superman: Doomsday DVD arrives this fall, on September 18th, but the website for the movie has just launched! Alright, I admit, that’s not really news in itself, but what IS news is that there’s a pretty telling, very interesting behind-the-scenes trailer that runs as soon as you enter. You can visit the site here and see the trailer in full. If you want a quick look at some some screencaps and analysis of what was said, then read on after the jump. [Read the rest of this entry…]
The sequel to 2005’s Fantastic Four looks to be better than the original, but the transition of Galactus from Purple-Helmeted World Devourer to gaseous nebula is disturbing. I was really hoping the creators would go all out and adhere to canon, but I suppose the mainstream ticket holder might be a bit put off by a corporeal Galactus.
Perhaps I’m jumping the gun. Maybe, just maybe, the destroyer of worlds will show up in the third act and and silence the jaded critic inside me.
Good News: Superman looks like he did in JLU!
Bad News: Superman looks like he did in JLU!
I thought we were getting treated to some switch-up in the art style to go with these direct-to-DVD DC Universe movies. Since these DVDs aren’t part of the old DC animated universe, I woudl’ve liked to see that reflected. Some more comic-like designs would’ve been nice, if it ain’t broke I can’t reasonably expect them to change anything. The one major shocker in this whole thing is a bit of blood on Superman. This was one of those things they NEVER did in the show. Take a look.
Hopefully this will be better than the last few efforts from WB at the DVD market. Brainiac Attacks, The Batman vs The Dracula, and Mystery Of The Batwoman weren’t exactly anything worth writing a blog post to praise.
Whats your favorite home video superhero movie? I felt Batman: Subzero was underrated.
