A rumor had been flying around for the past few days that Project X Zone 2 was in development. Not only is this rumor true, but PXZ2 will be hitting the U.S this fall, same timeframe as the Japanese release. Like its predecessor, PXZ2 will be a crossover between Sega, Capcom, and Namco which will be hitting the Nintendo 3DS. The developers must have read my mind, because Kazuma Kiryu and Goro Manjima from Sega’s Yakuza series will be among the new characters in this entry. Tekken villain Kazuya Mishima and Devil May Cry’s Vergil look like they’re also going to be joining the fun. Leon Kennedy, Strider, and so many others will be a part of this game as well. Resident Evil’s Chris Redfield and Jill Valentine, Tales of Vesperia’s Yuri and Flynn, and Mega Man X and Zero will be among the returning characters. What other franchises will have characters joining the fray? Streets of Rage? Final Fight? Tales of Xilla? Rolling Thunder? Remember Me? Dragon’s Dogma? Dark Souls? Aww, I’m getting too ahead of myself, I need to calm down. Just check out the trailer above and let us know who you would like to see.
After 14 years, the super ninja of the future has finally returned in his own game. What’s more, unlike 2000’s too-easy Strider 2 and U.S gold’s non-canon Sega Genesis sequel, this is a sequel that finally does justice to Strider. Developed by Double Helix, who also produced the successful Killer Instinct reboot, Strider brings back Capcom’s ninja hero on a clean slate to introduce him to a new generation of gamers. Capcom is bring the ninja of the future back next year thanks to Killer Instinct developer Retro helix. Simply called Strider, the game will be released on Xbox 360, Xbox One, Playstation 3, Playstation 4, and PC, likely as a downloadable title. The game will be a 2.5d ‘Metroidvania’-style game and looks to include all of Hiryu’s signature acrobatics. I’d say more, but why? Just check out the gameplay footage above.

Today Capcom announced Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 for November 2011, an updated version of Marvel vs Capcom 3 which came out in February. So far the only officially announced new characters for the updated version are Strider (Capcom), Firebrand (Capcom), Ghost Rider (Marvel), and Hawkeye (Marvel).
Joystiq noticed that art for character profiles was on Capcom’s web server and was able to download the full list of new characters. Capcom has since taken them down, but it seems likely this is the final lineup. Capcom: Strider, Firebrand, Vergil, Frank West, Phoenix Wright, Nemesis Marvel: Ghost Rider, Dr Strange, Nova, Rocket Raccoon, Hawkeye, Iron Fist
Moon Diver isn’t just a throwback to the days of old, it’s basically a time machine that takes you back to the good old days of video gaming. You (and up to three of your pals) take control of a super badass ninja and slash the shit out of everything in your way. The plot is your typical ‘save the world’ storyline you see often, but you’ll be too busy enjoying yourself to care. Just like all those old school titles, it’s HARD. Not like Ninja Gaiden or Castlevania thankfully, but it will give you a challenge. If you like classic side scrollers, please check this out. It’s even more fun if you bring along some buddies. There is even some downloadable content available for it as well. Oh yeah, if this looks a little bit like Strider, that’s because its director was Koichi Yotsui, who helmed the legendary Capcom classic.
