I’m breaking up the Transformers news by line because there was just so much information dispersed. The Generations line continues in 2013 kicking off the celebration of the franchise’s 30th birthday in 2014. 30th Anniversary logos will be appearing on packaging with pack-in comics included. IDW and Hasbro has been working together closer to try and get the toys and the comic art to match more closely. If these new reveals are any indication, they are being widly successful.
PowetToys reviews the Transformers Generations figure for Fall Of Cybertron Optimus Prime with some helpful comparisons to his predecessor, War for Cybertron Optimus Prime.
In this special episode of Powet Robots we look at one of the most iconic robots in the world, Optimus Prime, but this look has a special twist as we look at just how horrible a person movie Optimus Prime really is.
Welcome to the Powet Top 5, where we explore the top (and bottom) 5 items we think are relevant to any of a variety of topics that span the imagination. Sit back, read, and respond.
I was not adequately prepared for Transformers: The Ride. I expected to have fun, and to appreciate what I imagined as a fairly straightforward thrill ride with some Transformers window dressing.
Boy, was I in for treat.
Transformers is a fantastic ride. It’s the longest ride at Universal at a whopping four minutes, and it’s an incredible, exciting four minutes. Filled with impressive 3D effects, it really feels like you’re cruising through the Transformers universe. And if that was it, I would have been happy. Luckily, the ride experience is far more than just those four minutes. Here are the top 5 reasons (other than the ride itself) why Transformers: The Ride is amazing.

Last night, GTTV premiered the first gameplay footage from Transformers Fall Of Cybertron. It is within the full episode, so the footage isn’t available separate on the website. An interview with High Moon Studio’s Matt Tieger is from the one minute mark to the three minute mark.
Tieger mentions that Optimus Prime will be able to command Metroplex during one of his levels. Also of note is that the campaign will alternate from Autobot to Decepticon and back, unlike War For Cybertron, which had separate Autobot and Decepticon campaigns played back to back.
Another segment starts at around 6:15 and shows Jazz using a Bionic Commando-style grappling hook and gameplay footage with Vortex before and after combining with Bruticus.
Transformers Prime returns this weekend with the debut of Season 2. I hope you’ve all taken the break to catch up on the series because the story left us with one heck of a cliffhanger. Be sure to tune in to the Hub on Saturday, Feb 18th at 8PM ET/5PM PT.
