MOTU Staction Wave 3 pics and more

Masters Of The UniverseHe-man.org dropped a couple bombs on us today in the form of pictures of the third wave of staction figures from the Four Horsemen in addition to a couple of announcements.

Mantenna
The third wave of stactions include the Sorceress, Mantenna and Tongue Lashor. The paint applications on these figures are really something to admire particularly the Sorceress and Mantenna. There is even a glossy effect on Mantenna’s bulging eyes. Tongue Lashor is the biggest staction yet. They have posted some comparison pictures with prior wave statues to compare.

MOTU Staction Wave 1 - 3

In further He-Man news, it was revealed that there will in fact be 2 (two!) convention exclusives this summer. Details to come soon as always.

Finally, the long ago promised pictures of Leech and Webstor will hopefully be revealed at the end of the week.

Interview with Cornboy of Four Horsemen

Four HorsemenFigures.com has posted an interview today with Four Horsemen fabricator H. Eric ‘CORNBOY’ Mayse. The interview isn’t very long at all and covers what goes into fabrication and what might be fabricated in a toy or its accessories. An interesting read for anyone who likes to know what goes on in the making of toys.

As a small side note about the interview, figures.com is witnessing him work on a figure sculpted by Eric Treadway that cannot be commented on. This might be the SDCC 2006 Exclusive. As you can see here, it appears that the following information is known about the figure:

ET stands for Eric Treadaway and it looks like the fabricator is not listed yet. I’ll be honest though, I can’t find where that poster found this information. This is all just a conspiracy theory by me anyhow. Nearly all the figures are sculpted by either Eric or Chris Dahlberg, if I’m not mistaken.

Masters Of The UniverseNot sure how I missed posting this but, He-man.org announced on February 24th, the line up of characters that will be included in the fourth wave of staction figures. MOTU Mini-Statues Wave 2 Review

Masters Of The UniverseIts a slow news day so far today, so I wanted to point out this excellent review of the Masters of the Universe wave 2 mini-statues also known as stactions (statue action figures). These figures were sculpted by The Four Horsemen, the creative geniuses behind the relaunched 2004 series’ character designs. The statues were produced by NECA. This line of statues continues where the now discontinued action figure line ended off. Wave 2 includes 3 more characters that never made it to the action figure line; Stinkor, Clamp Champ, and Grizzlor.
