If any of you have been caught up with the premiere of Daredevil on Netflix over the past week and a half like we have, we have some good news for you! Netflix has ordered a second season of Daredevil for 2016. We’ll have more of the man without fear soon.
In the meantime, we have “A.K.A. Jessica Jones”, another Netflix exclusive Marvel series, to look forward to later this year on Netflix, with Luke Cage coming in 2016. Also in the pipeline are Iron Fist, followed by the Defenders series.
Marvel Studios head, Kevin Feige, has confirmed in an interview with Newsarama that the rights to Daredevil, the Man Without Fear, have reverted back to Marvel Studios.
It was reported that Fox Studios had a deadline of October 10, 2012 in order to retain the rights to the character. It was widely believed that the deadline was missed, but no official word came out until Mr. Feige’s comments at an Iron Man 3 press junket. Daredevil is not the first Marvel character whose rights have reverted back to Marvel Studios. The Punisher and Blade are on that list as well. Fox still retains the rights to the X-Men and the Fantastic Four. Spider-Man and Ghost Rider remain with Sony. The rights to these properties can all revert back to Marvel Studios if no film is in active development by a certain deadline for each. These agreements were all made prior to the formation of Marvel Studios in 2006.
OK, yes, Fall Of Cybertron talk did finally happen in this episode. But thats only a fraction of our insulting, offensive, and divisive conversation! We’ll talk celebrity sex tapes, Chuck Norris and Hank Williams Jr talking trash, and pay tribute to Michael Clarke Duncan.
I didn’t cut out the strip club story this week.
Finally, there is a Marvel Universe MMO and we talked about that for like 5 minutes.

The Hollywood Reporter has announced that Fox has hired Fringe writer and producer Brad Caleb Kane to write the script for a Daredevil reboot. Kane has been hired to adapt Frank Miller and David Mazzucchelli’s “Born Again” story from Miller’s run on Daredevil. The attention for this reboot likely comes from the success of Fox’s relaunch of the X-Men movie fanchise with X-Men: First Class.
David Slade will be directing the new Daredevil movie, with Peter Chernin and Dylan Clark producing it. According to THR one of the reasons Kane got the job writing the movie is because he is a huge Daredevil fan and has passion for the project.
Let us know what you think of this development in the comments.
