“You may lose your faith in us, but never in yourselves. From here, the fight will be your own..”
Transformers: Dark Of The Moon fires its latest salvo at the fanbase and mainstream audiences that lost faith in the series with Revenge Of the Fallen. Director Michael Bay will employ Shockwave to destroy Earth if he has to, but he will win those fans back.
What say you, Powet readers? Will you be there for the July 1 release or will you wait for the reviews? Will you see it in theaters, hold off for DVD, or skip it all together?

Paramount and Dreamworks have cooked up 3 new banners advertising the pending released of the third live action Transformers movie, Dark Of The Moon. We see our old friends Optimus Prime and Bumblebee over a ruined Chicago backdrop, and also our first official image of Shockwave, the big bad villain of the movie.
The full trailer will run in front of Fast Five in theaters next week, but after it premiers online. Powet.TV will of course post it as soon as its officially available (or leaked to youtube).

Well its not the trailer we’re expecting, but the ad Chevy will run during this Sunday’s game is online and it does feature our favorite yellow Autobot.
A real trailer for Transformers: Dark Of The Moon will run during Superbowl XLV and be available online immediately after. As we’ve done in year’s past, Powet will link the best movie and TV previews of interest by Monday morning.
I’d usually put a link to a Bumblebee action figure at the end of a post like this but there just so many of them now I don’t know which one to include.

News has been flying across the tubes, that during the filming of a scene for Transformers 3, a real police vehicle raced through the set on his way to an emergency, unwittingly putting himself in the path of the Camaro.
3rd St SW is closed for most of the week for filming, but that doesn’t prevent emergency vehicles from traveling through the area. An ambulance passed through the set shortly before the Autobot convoy went into action. A District police SUV trailing the ambulance less than a minute too late collided with the custom Chevrolet that’s used for Bumblebee in vehicle mode. The damage to the front end of Bumblebee is massive and its likely they’ll have to use a double to finish filming this week. No word on if either driver is injured but it appeared to be a relatively low speed hit. Crew quickly covered the stunt car, but not before many tourists and film fans caught photos and video of Bumblebee in bits.
Director Michael Bay was likely uninvolved with the accident, as neither car went airborne or exploded.
